Israel has the same chance of winning their war as the US did in Viet Nam.

That might be true, but it's not as if Israel abides by the agreements they make.
Take a look at the Oslo Accords, and then look at the current map of Palestine. They barely resemble one another.
So, it ain't a one way street, and when one side has a world superpower sending it $3 billion dollars a year in money and arms, it isn't hard to figure out how this is going to end up. The only question will be how many Pals are still alive when it's over.

Vietnam is an interesting story today. While everyone can have their own opinion, further while there are issues, some significant, the view of 'Nam, as a country, in this country, ftmp, is dated, imo.

CEOWORLD Mag is a site I have read since around 2010. It is considered a reliable source involving Intl News, Trade and Business, including investment. ceoworld.biz/

By 2022 their ranking of the top 165 countries, world-wide, found Vietnam rose to 62. The rankings were determined by analyzing and comparing 165 top GDP countries across 10 categories: Affordability, economic stability, family-friendly, a good job market, income equality, political neutrality and stability, safety, cultural influence, well-developed public education system, and well-developed public health system.

Their GDP ranks them 33rd in the world and 5th in SEA and is about the same as Wisconsin's (22nd in the US). World Bank rates them lower middle class. It has strong exports and industrial production and rising foreign investment. 

But, to some they may be a "shithole". <Shrug> They have a right to their opinion based on their criteria. While there are sectors that are dirt poor, Lai Châu for one, overall, the country is hanging in there and growing.

Agreed. I just think that suggesting Vietnam is a shithole only shows that the speaker doesn’t really know any better.

The REAL Marshall stuff is made in Bletchley, Milton Keynes, England.  At least, I think it still is.
