How is Michigan still in the Top 20? I can't see them dropping them out of the Top 25 all together necessarily but after two awful games in a row, there is no way they are the 18th best team in the country.

I gave them a pass after that Akron game but two weeks in a row is troubling. The Buckeyes big win got them within 20 points of #3 Clemson.

Michigan should be out of the top 25 and Baylor may not be high enough. The Gators get at LSU, UGALY in Jax, at USC, and FSU in The Swamp so there will be plenty of chances to kick UF out of the top 25. Steaksauce has me worried about Arkansas and Vandy too. At Kentucky, at Missouri, and Ga Southern all have me worried too. One of the halftime announcers with CBS said UF has been passed by Georgia and South Carolina so it must be true. Heck, the Gators are so bad that we'll be lucky to win another game.

That's about right, maybe should be a bit higher in the -17+- range. It looks like UF has a QB now than can do the basics and not give the game away. With UF's defense and special teams, that's all that is needed from the QB position. Just manage the game and don't give it away.

UF is a bit better on offense...(I know...who knew UF's O could be better than ANYONE), and USC's D is a bit better than UFs. But style-wise and talent-wise...very similar. Never happen, but that would be a great bowl game....on second thought...how "great" would a final score of 6-3 be?

Walter, in the ugliest game of the year thread, I was wondering if SC's 17-14 win over Utah State should be in the running. (G)

The Oline is brand new and the QB is new, so betting SC in September isn't such a great idea. IMO, whether the O improves as the season progresses or not will be a big part of whether or not Kiffin returns. If the O is stinkin' it up in November like they are in September, that tells us that coaching isn't working. But I expect better performance as the Oline matures and Kessler gets more reps. The D is playing lights out, so a good O development could make USC a dangerous team to play later in the season.
