Wow...9 of the top 15 are from just 2 conferences, the Pac and SEC.

It's interesting to see VT's ascent towards the top 25...primarily based on their D play. This week their recently past opponent East Carolina blasted North Carolina. Seems that their O really is pretty good after all....and that Tech's D is showing itself to be pretty solid all around, in spite of the score of the Bama game. I was troubled by the results of the Marshall game, but their QB is really terrific, and that game was played in a torrential downpour, which does weird things to game results. Over the next few weeks Tech's O is going to have to continue to improve it's production if they're going to continue their climb, though.

Yep, both Ole Miss and VT would be ranked if they hadn't played BAMA and both are just one win away from being ranked again imo...
