BTW.....Auburn got into the top 25 by beating a 1-6 Western Carolina FCS team, a team that got its clock cleaned by Chattanooga....

Agree on the game, but just luke warm on the conference. I have never been a fan of the conference allegiances and like the old days when Miami was an independent. There was more variety in the schedules back then. As for the FSU game, that will be a tough one. I think we are catching back up to them but not sure if we are there yet. They will be the best team we play this year. I will be anxious to see how Winston handles the pass rush he will get from McCord and Quan. If we get them, we really should make it to the ACCCG and a date with Clemson.

Funny, no mention of how those top 10 ACC teams fared against the SEC teams they played. My guess is FSU, Clemson, Miami end up 3-0. My next guess would be, any SEC team beating those same three would be given more weight by the pollsters than an ACC team.

To be serious, I think it's obvious the SEC has taken a step back this year, especially the defenses. UF's was pretty good, but between injuries and having so much pressure put on them by the offense, they've broken. Bama's seems to be getting their act together, but otherwise, no SEC team is playing what we'd call SEC Defense.

As for which conference is the best, hard to say. The ACC has made a big stride forward, but it might be the PAC-12 (and you have no idea how hard it was for me to type that).

UFC was pretty good ? What game were YOU watching ? The one EYE was watching had the #5 team beat the SHIT out of a healthy and well-coached #3 team....As far as the SEC taking a step back , we all know that every year isn't a Timmy Tebow team year....They run in cycles and this one happens to have young and in-experienced defenses....How good will they all be in 3 years when the cycle comes back around ? How is it that even the WORST SEC team is usually better then most of the rest ? Just sayin......

Agreed, on both the overall conferences being closer and acknowledging your difficulty in typing it.
