If you folks aren't into Korean food, you are missing out. It's very healthy and tastes fantastic. Very interesting cuisine. Sort of exactly what you'd expect from a country that had been invaded and occupied numerous times by both Japan and China. Pics or you you've only seen Korean food on the Cooking channel.....

The woof joke was just that. I saw the ball on the T and just had to swing.

I'm having a the lasagne tonight, home made near the SR in the SC by the wifey in the kitchen in the oven. To get here take the 101 to the 12 to the 116 and back to the 12.

I love a good pastrami rueban! My absolute favorite sandwich!! Always wanted to go to NYC to get one from one of the side street deli's. Old style! But trying a rueban with kim-chi sounds rather interesting as well. My understanding is that Kim-chi is spicy and is cured in a jar on your front stoop. What makes it safe?

Basically, so is sauerkraut. As long as it stays in the acidic juice and doesn't see air, the bad microbes won't survive. In the old days, the top layer would be exposed to the air and get fouled. That part was scraped off and only the stuff that was fully submerged the entire time was left and that part was/is edible because of the chemical content of the juice...highly acidic.

I've never had Korean food, but I did make fresh spring rolls tonight. I did them with pork, pablamo pepper, Napa cabbage and shredded carrot. Of course I added garlic and ginger.
My next question is..........What R U making for Superbowl snacks?

Research your Korean restaurant! Asian restaurants are notorious for poor food-handling practices and critical health code violations. No joke.
