Well... Caitlin Clark breaks Pete Maravichs' all time scoring record...Iowa leading the lady bucknuts 54-46 in the 3rd quarter was listening to women’s game on radio as we came back into town and headed to campus for um-tosu. wbns announcers were claiming clark was getting preferential treatment all game along, including inducing the technical foul call that ended up w the ft’s that broke the record. true? bucks were called for 22 fouls, iowa just 9 (again, according to the play by play guy). expecting close to a full house for first time this season today for men’s game. btw, radio folks also said thruout that the hawks were the better team today. iowa wins 93-83 for revenge from the buckeye win a month ago

Hope she does well in the pros. That said….mens and womens stats have never been mixed or compared….really not sure why it’s being done now.

I watched the game Mark, as in any game of importance, losses are sometimes attributed to poor officiating. This was not poor officiating. Hometown announcers are typically biased. IMO, I don't think the officials had anything to do with the outcome. OSU guarded Clark closer than anyone I have seen this year and I have seen them all, 3 of them in person, and I thought OSU got away with some holding, pushing, and shoving but women's BB is much more physical now and they let a lot of it go. The technical on McMahon was her own doing, I taped the game and watched the encounter several times. The officials had the advantage of watching it from several different angles and they got it right. #32 pulled a bit of a cheap shot, Clark no doubt overreacted and the technical was assessed. It was the right call. As for OSU players, if your #4 J. Sheldon and Clark were on the same team, I doubt that any team in America could come close to them provided they had the same back up players from either Iowa or OSU on their side. Great game, we will probably see these two go at it again in Minneapolis this weekend.

Great game, we will probably see these two go at it again in Minneapolis this weekend. I just watched a replay of the game tonight and if you think that technical foul was one legit and two not initiated by Clark, then you’re the blind one. Clark intentionally walked into McMahon with a shoulder and then overreacted as McMahon gave the same exact shoulder back to her and gets teed up. classic star treatment. There’s no doubt the talent Clark has she is a magical player but to say that she is humble??? LMAO. That might’ve been the weakest technical foul call reasoning I’ve ever seen in a game. Bottom line is that Iowa had revenge. They had the Clark record, and Ohio State just clinch the Big Ten title in their previous game against their arch rival. the setting was perfect for Iowa to win, and into their credit they did.

I'm pretty sure I said McMahon pulled a cheap one and Clark got away with an exaggerated reaction or words to that effect. The ref's had many more views of it than I would think you and I had and therefore I do believe they got it right. I will be the first to admit Clark hams it up a bit on the court, personally I would like to see her tone it down a bit, but it works for her. She no doubt has watched a lot of MJ's games and learned well. As for her being humble, yes she is, watch her post game interviews. All the credit goes to her teammates. Your girl got caught, plain and simple. It was a cheap shot by a frustrated Buckeye.

after a first half where the bucks played really well on defense and had a horrible ballhandling exhibition of 10+ turnovers, their second-half versus Rutgers might’ve been the best basketball and most balanced They’ve played all year in stretching out a close game into a 20+ point win.
that makes five wins in the last six games since the coaching change. A couple wins in the tournament next week could really give them a shot at making the dance. And one other thing; the improvement Felix Okpara has exhibited this year in his overall game, and especially on defense has been a lot of fun to watch.

Dusty May reportedly at the top of Ohio State's wishlist. I would obviously love to have May stay at FAU while my daughter is still there but he would be a great hire for Ohio State. Only real red flag is his ability to recruit at a high level but seeing what his teams have done the last two years and the style of play he implements coupled with the big name of Ohio State might be enough to get big time recruits to Columbus.

Lebron's son Bryce likely comes to Columbus if Mays lands there.
