UF has 15 commitments, but is expected to close with 9 more for a total of 24 by NSD. That's 37.5% of UF's 2017 recruiting class to decide over the next 3 weeks. I played with the scout site, and found I'd just been looking at a limited number of I don't know whats... I Xed out the school name, and got an expanded list, and was a little surprised at the numbers of uncommitted players. www.scout.com/college/ohio-state/2017-football-prospects?minimumInterest=Low&team=null

If 5 star DT Aubrey Soloman had picked UGALY over Michigan, the poodles would have been vying for the top spot. He gets to be with Michigan when UF kicks the crap out of them in Dallas.

Not to mention, the Rose Bowl showed the rest of the country that PSU and USC were playing ball as well as anybody. Coulda swapped out Washington and OSU in the final 4, and had better games. would think it would have come down to Clemson playing USC

Georgia has been in that #3 spot for several weeks based on oommitments. They just gave a scholarship to a kicker/punter from Wofford as a graduate transfer. Looks like the OLine and Dline will be greatly improved, 2 good WRs and some DBs; all needed badly. Got a top RB and a 4* QB as well. Look out Florida. Your run may be over for a while.

For a seventh straight year, Alabama has landed the top recruiting class in the country.
247Sports made the announcement Wednesday afternoon based on its composite rankings. This is the highest-ranked class of the Nick Saban era and the highest-rated class nationally since Florida's class of 2010. Among the 26 players that signed with Alabama Wednesday are six ranked as five-stars in the 247Sports Composite rankings and 17 rated as four-stars. Running back Najee Harris, offensive tackle Alex Leatherwood and linebacker Dylan Moses are all rated as top-20 recruits nationally. The six five-stars are tied for the most ever in a single class, according to 247. The big gets Wednesday for the Tide were five-star defensive lineman LaBryan Ray and four-star wide receivers Devonta Smith and Henry Ruggs.

Scout currently has them 23rd, one slot above Stanford and behind UCLA, Oregon and USC. And Stanford only has 14 commits so far, but 9 of the 14 are 4 or 5 star, so they will jump UDub before this is over. Meanwhile, USC finishes strong, jumping to #5 after being as low as #19 just a few weeks ago.

If USC doesn't f-word around in September, likely they'll be in the final 4.

I gotta hand it to Stanford. They somehow have become the default campus for every smart kid with talent. Only 4 commits from California so far. That speaks to a national prestige like no other school.
