you have your choice as any viewer does. but in '14 osu won their league. so did oregon. in '11, alabama did not. that's the difference. but you already knew that. btw, i attended last year's alabama-clemson title game. but not the osu-oregon game. Don't you have a child attending Clemson?

So if a similar situation had happened to Osu where they didn't win their conference (division) and they made the NCG anyway, you wouldn't watch the game? i don't know, to be honest. that said, back in '06 when plenty of people were claiming that osu and um should play again in the bcs title game, i was 100% against it. i said the winner of that game deserved to be in the bcs final... the loser did not... because the loser did not win their league. i felt that way in '06, i felt that way in '11 re alabama, and the day when a 2nd place team who doesn't win their league gets into a 4 team playoff, i';m pretty sure i'll feel the same way. whether it's osu, alabama, appy state, whoever. because i believe that will be the day cfb loses me. Really Homer? You don't know if you would watch Osu play for a Natty? Get real

Don't you have a child attending Clemson?she did. graduated in '11. my wife remains a big fan. we were in phoenix for a mini winter vacation, and to my surprise when i suggested trying to pick up a couple tix she was excited to go. me being a big cfb fan, obviously, it was a no brainer. and it was a fantastic game.

Get realobviously you don't know me. plus you're applying your own allegiance mindset to me. that's 2 mistakes on you. under the hypothetical scenario you're attempting to paint, osu would not belong in a playoff. finishing 2nd in a league does not make a team good enough to qualify imho. i don't give a crap who it is, and that includes my alma mater.

Never happen...OSU doesn't get the BSPiN talking heads' benefit of the doubt. Its a hypothetical questionIts a hypothetical answer... <g>

So if a similar situation had happened to Osu where they didn't win their conference (division) and they made the NCG anyway, you wouldn't watch the game? Watch the game? He'd pay whatever it takes to be there. You have to understand the bucknut mindset. The bucknuts deserve favoritism payed for with large numbers of traveling fans and a good historical all-time record. Nobody else deserves it, just The Ohio State University. Has anyone (else) ever told you you're FOS? Never mind...I'm sure you hear that a lot...a WHOLE lot...a whole HELL of a lot.

Can't and won't attempt to speak for Mark; but (as I've never watched the Mulligan Bowl either), neither of your two examples was a do-over on top of the other stuff that common people bitched about. LSWho beat Bama IN THIER HOUSE, and Bama's win was at a neutral site. Seems to me that losing at home should count as extra strikes against. If you'd go back to late 2006, you'll see just about EVERY Buckeye saying that Missed Again should not get a second chance...how fortunate for you that the writers/BSPiN talking heads agreed... Lol that one always gets me. New Orleans is 73 miles from Baton Rouge and 270 miles from Tuscaloosa and its a "Neutral Site game"That's what all you SECond to the Big Ten fans told us after the 2007 season's BCS CG...

Lol that one always gets me. New Orleans is 73 miles from Baton Rouge and 270 miles from Tuscaloosa and its a "Neutral Site game" Bama travels well. I doubt LSU had the fan advantage inside the Super Dome. It was a neutral site game. Mileage has little to do with it being a neutral site. Maybe if bama played UCLA in the Rose Bowl I'd feel differently. However, I don't think location had anything to do with the argument. It could have been the first college football game to be played on the moon and they wouldn't have watched. It was because it was an all-SEC clash and bama won the mulligan. So much for the idea that is was just Big Ten fans who think that...

Kinda getting away from the original question to Mark which was would he watch Osu play in that game if they got there the same way BAMA did. I don't really care about where the game was played. But I stand by my nuetral site comment. The state of Louisiana is for Lsu, yes BAMA travels well, but the SD holds about 80k people. No way there were more BAMA fans than Lsu fans, and to think that Lsu did'nt have some sort of "Home field advantage" given the location is absurd
You're entitled to your opinion even if it is wrong. Steaksauce went to the game. Too bad he isn't here to give a fan inside the dome breakdown. I stand by my comment too. It was a neutral site game.

All this again calls into question...what do we want to call champion? Do we want a season champion? Do we want a tournament champion like a March Madness kind of thing? Would we be satisfied with the scenario that been painted here before, similar to the 2011 thing? (Florida & Alabama are LOADED, open the season #1 & #2. Week 5 has a show down, in Florida, and Florida beats Bama by 7. The next week, both teams go back to methodically kicking butt....MOV by no less than 30 points, and Bama starts the slow rise back up the charts, and by week 8, is back to #2. The regular season ends, the Gators at #1, the Tide at #2, and in the SEC championship game, Florida wins late in the 4th quarter by a FG. Bama drops a bit, but we're in phase 2 of the CFP...and with 8 teams in the tournament, Alabama is in at #7. In the end, there is Florida Vs Bama, for all the marbles. Bama wins, 14-13. Winning one out of three, and we're gonna call them champions...I don't see any argument there, do you?
