UF got passed by UGALY this week in the ITA rankings dropping from 5 to 6. Last week UF dropped from 3 to 5. UF is once beaten early on by UNC. The Gators keep winning and keep dropping. (shaking head)
This is a Final Four good women's tennis team. They'll get a chance to prove it facing two top 10 SEC programs in the next 10 days, at Vandy and home against UGALY. First up: UK this Friday.

UF beat #20 UK 4-1 in Lexington:
Fri, Apr 3 #20 Kentucky * Lexington, KY 6:00 pm W (4-1) The 1 loss against UK is UF's only sore spot, doubles. The Gators lose too many points on the doubles matches which is a best 2 of 3.
This from Gatorzone - next up - at #8 Vanderbilt on Sunday, 4/5:
LEXINGTON, Ky. – The No. 6 Florida Gators continue their quest for Southeastern Conference perfection and remain undefeated in SEC action following a 4-1 road win at No. 20 Kentucky Friday evening at the Hilary J. Boone Tennis Complex.
Florida showed great poise in a match characterized by plenty of adversity, as inclement weather forced competition indoors and even caused a brief delay in action when a power outage halted doubles play during the doubles point-deciding match on Court 1. UF dropped the early tally and started singles trailing UK, 1-0, but the Gators’ incredible depth in singles came through once again and helped them to the overall match win.
The four available courts in Kentucky’s indoor facility were all the Gators needed, as their Nos. 1-4 singles players each captured a win to close out the match. Junior Brianna Morgan clinched her second consecutive match and in doing so, increased her team-leading match-clinching win tally to seven. Sophomore Kourtney Keegan collected her 10th consecutive singles win to extend the longest active singles winning streak on the team. Freshmen Brooke Austin and Josie Kuhlman both posted their eighth SEC singles victory and Kuhlman remains undefeated in conference singles.
The Gators will compete in their final road match of the regular season on Sunday, April 5 at No. 8 Vanderbilt at 12 p.m. at the Brownlee O. Currey Jr. Tennis Center.

The #16 UF Men's team did well at home on Friday defeating #25 LSU 4-2.
The men have a shot against #8 Texas A&M at home on Sunday, 4/5. This from Gatorzone:
GAINESVILLE, Fla. – The No. 16 Florida Gators started their final regular-season weekend at home on a high note, as they took down the No. 25 LSU Tigers, 4-2, on Friday evening at the Alfred A. Ring Tennis Complex.
Singles wins were traded back and forth between the two top-25 Southeastern Conference competitors. Entering individual play with a 1-0 lead after doubles, Florida quickly found themselves back at square one when LSU evened the score with a singles win on Court 4. Just 10 minutes later, the ball was back in the Gators’ court, as freshman Chase Perez-Blanco extended his perfect SEC singles record with a 6-2, 6-3 win. Junior Gordon Watson put the home team within one point of the victory when he earned his third-straight singles win, but the Tigers continued to encroach on the Gators’ lead and picked up a point on Court 6.
Junior No. 71 Diego Hidalgo and sophomore No. 115 Elliott Orkin continued to battle, as both were forced into a third set on neighboring Courts 1 and 2. While both Gators led in their respective match-deciding sets, it was Orkin who clinched the 4-2 victory with a 5-7, 6-3, 6-2 win over LSU’s Chris Simpson.
In the second consecutive match for UF, the doubles point was decided by a match tiebreaker, but this time the early tally went to the Gators. With the tiebreaker knotted at six-all, LSU double faulted and the Gators went ahead, 7-6. The Orange and Blue capitalized on the break and Watson aced the Tigers on a monster serve to take the doubles point, marking the first doubles win for Florida in three matches.
The Gators compete in their final regular-season home match of the season on Sunday, April 5 at noon, when they welcome No. 8 Texas A&M to the Ring Tennis Complex. Florida senior Richard Brej will be honored 10 minutes prior to doubles.

GAINESVILLE, Fla. – As part of Florida’s annual Orange and Blue Weekend, action at the Alfred A. Ring Tennis Complex opens with the No. 6 Florida Gators hosting SEC rival No. 5 Georgia on Friday, April 10 at 5 p.m.
UF leads the all-time series with UGA, 45-15, but the Bulldogs have made a lasting mark on Florida women’s tennis history in Gainesville. The Gators boast a 197-1 all-time home record versus SEC opponents. That one loss was dealt to the Gators by none other than the Georgia Bulldogs on April 7, 2002.
The Gators are coming off their second loss of the season and first SEC setback, a 4-1 loss to No. 8 Vanderbilt. Florida dropped the doubles point for the second time in three matches and was unable to recover in singles. The Orange and Blue managed to tab just one singles point in the loss to the Commodores, as junior Brianna Morgan recorded her third consecutive singles win. Morgan leads the Gators with 13 dual match singles wins (tied with Brooke Austin) and nine SEC singles victories.

#6 UF upsets #5 UGA - UF goes for the regular season SEC title on Sunday morning at 10 AM EDT against Tennessee:
GAINESVILLE, Fla. – It seems no team can count out the No. 6 Florida Gators if junior Brianna Morgan is the last singles player standing, and Friday night was no exception as Morgan clinched her third consecutive match for UF on Friday evening when Florida defeated No. 5 Georgia at the Alfred A. Ring Tennis Complex to open Florida’s annual Orange and Blue Weekend.
Entering tonight’s match, Florida, Georgia and Vanderbilt all owned a 10-1 Southeastern Conference record. With Georgia’s loss and Vanderbilt falling 4-3 to Texas A&M, the Gators’ 4-3 victory over SEC foe Georgia put them in an excellent position to win the regular-season conference title if the Orange and Blue conclude the 2015 schedule with a win Sunday afternoon.

Gators Playing for SEC Regular Season Title in Home Finale with Tennessee
GAINESVILLE, Fla. – The No. 6 Florida Gators conclude the regular season and compete for the Southeastern Conference Regular Season title on Sunday, April 12 at 10 a.m. when they host No. 66 Tennessee at the Alfred A. Ring Tennis Complex.
Florida leads the all-time series with Tennessee, 41-0.
The Gators were guaranteed a share of the SEC regular-season title with Friday’s 4-3 upset victory over No. 5 Georgia. With both the Bulldogs and the Vanderbilt Commodores sitting at 10-2 in the SEC, a Florida win on Sunday would improve UF’s conference record to 12-1 and earn them the title outright. If the Gators lose, and Georgia and/or Vanderbilt win, the teams that conclude the season with an 11-2 record will share the regular-season crown.

2015 SEC Champion - Florida Gators
Sunday April 12, 2015
SEC Champions! No. 6 Florida Gators Earn Regular Season Crown with 4-0 Win in Home Finale
GAINESVILLE, Fla. – On what would typically be celebrated as Senior Day at the Alfred A. Ring Tennis Complex, a senior-less No. 6 Florida Gator squad made their regular season home finale memorable nonetheless, as they clinched the 2015 Southeastern Conference regular-season crown with a 4-0 victory over No. 66 Tennessee on Sunday afternoon. The 2015 Southeastern Conference Champions are the 28th Florida Gators team to win the regular season title out of a possible 35, and the 10th to do so under head coach Roland Thornqvist.
Once the Gators clinched the doubles point, the singles wins came rolling in for the Orange and Blue. No. 5 Brooke Austin allowed Tennessee’s No. 96 Joanna Henderson just two games en route to her 6-1, 6-1 victory, which put the home team ahead, 2-0. From there, Florida raced to the title as No. 42 Kourtney Keegan defeated Victoria Olivarez, 6-3, 6-0, just one minute later. Sophomore No. 43 Belinda Woolcock clinched the match at No. 5 singles with a straight-set victory over Laurence Guevrement, 6-1, 6-0. It was a special win for the sophomore and Australia native, as she had not won a singles match since Florida’s 7-0 victory at Missouri on March 15.
Florida was tested in doubles at Nos. 1 and 2 after Spencer Liang and Peggy Porter worked their way to an 8-4 win on Court 3, improving their SEC record to 2-0. Both remaining UF doubles tandems trailed at the time of the win on Court 3, but No. 12-ranked Austin and Keegan held off UT’s No. 38 Henderson and Caitlyn Williams, and forced a tiebreaker. Meanwhile, Josie Kuhlman and Woolcock went up, 7-6, on Court 2, and just as Austin and Keegan took a 5-3 lead in the tiebreaker, Kuhlman and Woolcock clinched the doubles point for the Gators with an 8-6 win.
The Gators begin their postseason journey at the SEC Tournament, with action opening on Wednesday, April 15 in Columbia, S.C.
