Once again - this is why people are pushing it. Obama and Hillary instigated it. Personally, I wouldn't show anyone my tax return, good, bad or ugly.
Here is the LAW - Now get over it and move on already!
No law requires presidential candidates to release their tax returns, but history does. President Obama's re-election campaign is pressuring their Republican challenger Mitt Romney to release more of his tax returns. ... A month after Obama released six years of returns, Clinton followed suit.
Since Trumps holdings are monstrous, he did comply with the Financial disclosure required by the ethics committee. AND it is his right and choice as to whether he make it public. If he chose to, we all know it would be nit picked to death and be the main topic of conversation. Senators and Congressmen/women also do not have to submit tax returns. They have no right to demand his.
You would miss the fact that today he is redoing the ACA, putting a stop to the tax penalty for those who could not afford coverage. A lot of serious changes are going to take place now.

All well and good. If his position was he was never going to release them, then that is what he needed to say upfront. Instead, he did a 180. No doubt they would be nitpicked. However, that's not the issue. Before the election, he said he would release them. After the election, he didn't follow through. That's the issue.

I wonder if the IRS has finished its audit of his returns...

Actually in the debates, he said his papers were in the hands of his accountants. He also said it was a LOT of papers. I believe each business files separately and he has to file personal taxes separately. Since his financial disclosure is 140 pages, can you imagine what his taxes must look like?

But, if you say you're going to do something, you follow through. That's all I'm saying here. It's something that could have been addressed a long time ago, however, it's now a distraction. He has nobody to blame but himself for allowing that to happen. JMO.

His personal return will most likely be very lengthy. No doubt. That said, I understand that he can't be forced to release them, and I seriously doubt if he will ever do so. However, the issue will continue to be a distraction and as I said to Dale, he has nobody to blame for that but himself.

"Not one thin dime."
"If you like your policy, you can keep your policy."
On and on and on...
These are broken promises that actually affect all of us. I could care less if Trump changed his mind on releasing his taxes. That doesn't affect anyone and only gives the media ammunition to try to move forward their efforts to discredit Trump. I'd do the same thing if I was in Trump's shoes. What a shithole this country has become thanks to liberals.

"I could care less if Trump Obama released his taxes college transcripts. That doesn't affect anyone and only gives the media right ammunition to try to move forward their efforts to discredit Trump Obama." This look familiar? Because it was what you and some others were peddling not too many moons ago. "What a shithole this country has become thanks to liberals." My...what a short memory we have...

lets put aside that the likely secretary of state was once awarded a medal by the russian government. So did my uncle and he ended up in a part of our .gov. Oh the horror of that. And I could care less about his tax returns. Had the Dems provided a reasonable alternative, any alternative, I might have voted dem. I guess I'm not much of peek in the window kind of a guy. I don't creep through my wife's diary, my deceased mom's old love letters. If that's what floats your boat, <shrug>.
