lets put aside that the likely secretary of state was once awarded a medal by the russian government.
and lets ignore for a second that the newly appointed national security adviser michael flynn is now under investigation by federal law enforcement officials for his communications with russia.
aaannd lets overlook for a minute that numerous federal agencies are currently investigating paul manafort, trump’s former campaign chairman; carter page, a former trump foreign policy adviser; and roger stone, a republican political operative and confidante for their financial ties to russia.
oh and please lets completely forget that after trump screwed over all types of lenders and creditors while he was destroying his mini atlantic city empire with incompetence and neglect, no reputable bank in america would lend to him and he was forced to borrow from various unknown foreign sources in order to keep his business afloat.
lets talk about trumps tax returns. the same returns that every president since ford has released to the public. the same returns that trump refused to release during the campaign b/c he claimed he was under audit even though he provided zero proof that he was actually under an audit. he claimed that he would release the returns once he was president. and now trump is stating he will not voluntarily release his tax returns at all. breaking another promise. he is claiming that people aren't interested, which we know is bullshit. 74% of people want to see his tax returns. remember, trump once claimed that he could shoot people and not lose any votes. but yet is afraid of releasing his tax returns?
the tax returns are important b/c they are the only way for us to know who he is in debt to, how is personally benefits from policy decisions he makes, how his business is tied to how other leaders and other foreign influential businessman make money.
so now lets connect the dots. trump became reliant on foreign capital to finance his business ventures after he screwed over a bunch of US creditors in the 90's. trump runs for president, supports every position that putin needs to breakup NATO and the EU and then goes to absurd lengths to deny russia's obviously involvement in hacking the DNC during the election. and then trump refuses to release any financial documents that could show the extent of his financial ties with foreign countries. meanwhile, seemingly every close advisor to trump is under some sort of investigation for their ties with the russian government.
am i being a conspiracy theorist? like one of those people who spent years obsessively analyzing the birth certificate released by the state of hawaii after obama was elected looking for any flaw? maybe. but all trump has to do is release his birth certificate and he can put all this doubt i have to rest. yet he won't. and he won't provide a good reason.

- What about all the presidents before Ford? Did they release their tax returns?
- He's not required by law to release his tax returns.
- No source was cited for your multitude of claims above. - You have a chip on your shoulder for Trump.

I honestly don't care about any of that as long as Trump gets things done and the country prosperous again. If he becomes another do-nothing obama I'm going to have a huge problem with all of that. I'm guardedly optimistic but half of this country isn't even willing to give him a chance.

the tax returns are important b/c they are the only way for us to know who he is in debt to, really, what schedule shows that? analyzing the birth certificate released by the state of hawaii certificate of birth......there is a difference. I have one each, my SSN is attached to my certificate of birth.

Well if you cook the numbers and change the parameters of how they're reported like obamaco did then I suppose you could say we were prosperous. Plenty of non-fake info out there that proves otherwise.

And let us not forget to tally up the broken promises. He's 3 days in and the promise to release his returns is kaput. ...and then there's this. "...Trump Counselor Kellyanne Conway stated today that Trump will not release his tax returns. Send them to: wikileaks.org/#submit so we can...."
