Good choice. Although Winchester pdx 124 gr. suffices for me. Like the Gold Dot also. Any of them makes a bad day for the bad guy(s) i am currently carrying 230 gr. PDX1. When it comes to handgun bullets, bigger is always better. It starts out bigger, and never shrinks. My .45 can nick an artery (or the spinal cord) that your 9mm would miss.
9MM = .355" 10MM/.40 cal = .400/.401" .45 ACP/.45 Colt = .451/.452"
The difference isn't great, but I'll take any edge I can get. Expanded sizes can favor the .45 even more. Different strokes for different folks. I'll stick with my 16 shot 9.

I didn't know there was a 'wrong' way to be with our Creator..?.. At the same time we aren't 'doormats'. If the three idiots are so dumb as to bring knives to a gunfight, then I will try my best to make sure they pay for the mistake. I've been cut before so if I get cut but am able to put three holes in each in them, I'll consider that a fair enough trade off. As for my life being finite, I'm still here. I plan on living forever. So far, so good. It's YOUR life. I'm just offering suggestions. I will be trying my best to win, too. Nowhere have I said any different. BUT so will the bad guys if they are real terrorists.
If your attackers are run-of-the-mill thugs, shooting one of them will PROBABLY scare off the other 2. Street thugs are known cowards.
Do you think liberals are right with God? They don't even believe in God! Oh I'm sure there is a wrong way to be with God. I myself just don't know one. muslims terrorists will succumb to three shots to the upper torso just like any street thug. That's a fact, jack. Hope I never have to prove it.

G19 9mm: 7.4" L 4.99" H 1.18" W 30.2 oz loaded 16 rd mag +1
Compared to a 6 shot .38 Colt Agent revolver: 7.2" L 4.9" H 1,4" W 16 oz. unloaded
To each his own, but the G30S is the easiest to conceal.

The slightly longer inch or so in length presents no problem whatsoever for me as far as concealed carry goes. I carry the standard mag , which btw is 15 rounds, with one in the pipe giving me 16 shots ( if needed ) as quickly ( seconds ) as I can sight and fire. I also have a 17 rd. mag as well as a couple of 10 rd. mags. I do usually carry am extra mag. with me. So I guess you can say I'm comfortable in my own skin.

Yes, I'm splitting hairs, but like I say, I'm an old fart and I will take any advantage that I think I am getting with the G30S. The advantages might be just in my mind, but in the mind is where you fight and WIN. I stand corrected on the G19 mags, which I assume is what you have.
There's nothing wrong with 9MM. It's easier to control than a .45, especially in a gun as light as a Glock. And it's easy to see that a fullsize 1911 is faster back on target than a Glock, but in real life where minute of dinner plate groups are acceptable, it really doesn't matter.
You are carrying the gun that you trust and gives you the most confidence and that is the most important aspect over any other factor, ruling out of course any ammo lighter than .38 Spcl.
I'll welcome you by my side with your 9 any old time.

I've heard of some feeding problems when have one chambered AND a full to capacity mag inserted. I never carry that way. If I'm carrying a 15 round mag there is one in the chamber and 14 in the mag.

Can't comment on that since I have no experience with those, but the G30 has no problems feeding from full 10 round or the optional 9 round mags. I carry the 9 rounder on occasion since it reduces the OAH from 4.8" to 4.3" -- mucho tiny. I don't carry extra mags on the street, which I admit is a major tactical error, but ---- oh well. I SHOULD work on changing that, and getting used to putting a spare mag in my pocket.
The problem I DID find with the G30S was that it doesn't like flatnosed truncated cone full metal jacket bullets. That's not really a problem because I carry it on the street with either rounded ogive HP's or 230gr ball. The TMJ's were fired on the range, and I'll never buy any again for use in a Glock. They'll work fine in my 1911's and S&W 645.

Take them to the range and have someone mix them in with live rounds in your mags, so that you will suffer real stoppages in surprise moments. Wanna get real frustrated? Tell your helper to load 2 dummies in a row somewhere in the mag. 3 if you want to feel like throwing the gun!

So you carry a 1911. Cocked and locked?
Nevermind ............. you said you don't carry a round in the chamber.

$35.00 for that thing that might come out WITH the mag? No thanks.
When I qualified in March with my 1911, I had 5 spare mags in the back pocket and front left pocket of my jeans. I had no trouble retrieving any of them and I didn't have to fish for them either. You learn to push them up from the OUTSIDE into your other fingers. Don't get all puffy --- I'm just offering an alternative method.
I DID make one error --- I loaded al the mags with 7, which threw my round count off. The course is shot with multiples of six, 3 groups of 2 shots or 3 shots (2 to the body, 1 to the head). With 7 round mags and one in the chamber left over from the previous stage, it threw that nice neat counting by empty mags off. I won't make that mistake next year if I use the 1911 again.

I understand it's hard for you but please try not to be an idiot, What are you talking about? If you like it, that's fine. You are using something that doubles the width of the magazine, making it look like you have a brick in your pocket.. Nothing is thinner than the bare mag itself.
I carried regular old mag pouches on a duty belt for years. They work great for uniform use. Now as someone who carried concealed only. I want MY stuff to be as simple as possible. The same reason I don't buy fancy looking tooled and carved holsters. If I do MY job right, no one will ever see them.
Quit reading those gun magazines and Rambo-how-to articles. They are written to sell unnecessary shit and many of those "experts" have never faced anything more dangerous than a horsefly. You can always tell the wannabes. They are the ones who make error and untruth ridden Youtube videos talking about Supergun Model Killemall, chambered in .900 Pachyderm, while wearing a fully equipped tactical vest in their back yard. I watch them for laughs sometimes.
Don't be a gun Democrat. Don't let all the internet gun "experts" baffle you with bullshit. Keep things functional, practical, and PROVEN.
Just some advice from an old worn-out fogey who doesn't know anything.
