Not gonna do it. The g19 is half the weight with 10 more shots... ( if needed ) can't go wrong with a Ruger but ya definitely can't go wrong with a Glock. Oh I agree with you. I'm just saying carry the Ruger if the G19 isn't available. My problem with revolvers is the same as yours ---- they have only 6 shots. What's good about the Glock over most semiautos is that it operates exactly like a revolver. Just point and pull the trigger. Yep, simplicity. It can mean the difference between life and death.

Why would a law abiding citizen be concerned with evidence..?.. God forbid I ever actually have to use my weapon to defend myself or a loved one, but if I do, I won't be concerned with 'spewing evidence.' I have owned and shot a glock for many years now and NEVER had one jam... never. Just quoting Prof. Mutt, Gunologist. LOL “The human spirit is more powerful than any drug and that is what needs to be nourished: with work, play, friendship and family. These are the things that matter.”

What's good about the Glock over most semiautos is that it operates exactly like a revolver. Just point and pull the trigger. Yeah, and that Glock cylinder can never jamb or spew empty casings as evidence... Doors jamb; guns jam.
Most of the time a handgun malfunction is related to ammunition or a faulty magazine. A bullet in a revolver chamber can walk out under heavy recoil and lock the cylinder up tight. Any manmade machine can fail to work. Semiautos have more ways to malfunction than revolvers normally do. Unscrewed ejector rod, empty case dropping back under the extractor star ---- not too many true mechanical failures. Semiauto --- failure to feed (unpolished ramp, unsecured mag in well), failure to extract (broken extractor), failure to eject/stovepipe (improper recoil spring tension, broken/missing ejector), a few more I'm sure I've overlooked.
I don't mind an empty case on the ground that proves I only shot at the goblin one time and the missed shot that hit the bystander belongs to someone else.

The Python was the top of the mark for hand assembled, hand tuned revolvers and, today, commands atmospheric prices. When orig sold new they were 2X of a diamondback. But the DB is still a jewel today and commands a high budget. The Diamondback was cosmetically identical to the Python, but its lockwork was not hand fitted and tuned like a Python's was. The DB's action is no better than a Police Positive or Detective Special. An ancient New Service that is still in good condition might have a better action than all of them. I believe the Diamondback was built of the smaller D frame. Understandable given it shoots the .38 V Python's .357 M. All of Colt's "snake guns" have escalated in price.

Yep, it's the D frame, probably another reason the action isn't as good because the geometry changes with smaller dimensions. All Colts and S&Ws of any kind have skyrocketed just because of their names.
My "Colt" 1911 .22 is actually manufactured by Walther/Umarex, but because it is licensed by and branded "Colt" it is more expensive than the ATI 1911 .22, which is the only other full-size 1911 .22 that I am aware of.

The P938-22 is a 1911 based pistol but not full sized. Yep, and I wanted mine full size. It is compatible with a lot of parts that fit on a centerfire 1911. I put a Commander hammer, extended thumb safety, and genuine Colt rubber wraparound grips on mine ---- something you can't do with the midget copies. I can also change out the mainspring housing and grip safety if I want to.
There's a good reason for getting the full size gun.
The SIG is ugly, BTW --- doesn't look anything like a real 1911. Maybe it does to people who don't know the difference. It is also overpriced. Sucky Imitation Gun
The Vietnamese 1911 looks better than a SIG. (They didn't know what THEY were doing, either)

There you go cutting everything else down, your usual m.o. Baretta. GO !! I don't like SIGS. They have done nothing that any other gun maker has done, and they are overpriced and ugly. Sorry. S/A auto? 1911 D/A auto? Walther, S&W Striker fired pistol? Glock --- nothing simpler
Baretta --- TV show starring Robert Blake, 1970's IIRC. Keep your eye on the sparrow, grasshopper.
Beretta, the gun? If you are referring to the Beretta 92, it's basically a copy of the Walther P-38 with a single centerline recoil spring.
When you want original designs, you have to go WAY back, except for Glock.
The SIG P938 is a copy of the Star PD which has been around since dinosaurs.

Sig did make a 1911 .22, model 1911 - 22. If they still do or not, I don't know. But it was full size.

Mosquito issues are solved by not using run of the mill ammo. Gotta have some pop to cycle it properly. Had one of those as well. Only .22 pistols I have left are a cpl of Ruger MK IIIs.

Never use the Mexican crap.
