That's ugly as hell. My AR's are pretty as heck. Tell that to the public who sees a black plastic gun with all kinds of gizmos hanging off of it as useful only for killing. A wooden stock gives it instant respectability as a hunting rifle.
Perception my boy, perception. WE know the stock makes no difference, but THEY don't.

Kinda resembles an ak-47... kinda... It kinda resembles an AK a lot.
There's only so much you can do with a gun that has a useless handle sticking down from the bottom of it.

Why would I need a 3 point sling? A sling that attaches at front and rear is quite adequate.

Aimpoint T2 Micro, Aimpoint M4s, Leupold VX-R Patrol 1-4. On three different rifles. WML - we've been over this before. You're losing your memory. Weapon mounted light. In this case a Surefire M300 Mini Scout in a IWC mount.

Weapon Mounted Light. OK, got it. Never used 'em. I hated to use even my flashlight on night searches for bad guys. The light tells them right where YOU are. It's a risk I had to take at times. but I always held my flashlight out to my side at arm's length. If the bad guy takes a shot at your "WML" he is very likely to hit YOU. No, no, no. That's not a good way to end your shift.

For me personally, most of my long guns are just for fun, and if I were ever to use my Mini-14 or Winchester 1300 for defense, there's enough ambient light around here to negate any extra lighting needed. I'm so sure the 1300 will never be needed that I store it in a case, totally empty. I think. I may have to pull it out and check the magazine to see if it is loaded. I don't even really know why I have the damn thing, other than that I wanted a tactical shotgun. I guess if they announced there was a dangerous criminal loose in town, I'd bring the shotgun out at the ready.
(And yes, mine does have the pistol grip and collapsible stock. A pistol grip is good to have on a HEAVY recoiling weapon like a 12 gauge shotgun, but not needed on a 5.56.)

And it's only a little hole. At 4 feet from the muzzle, you don't get ANY pellet spread.
