I guess you didn't hear him say towards the end of the presentation that the 10MM is more powerful than the .45ACP.
And yes, most professionals ARE biased towards the .45ACP. They know that for an everyday SD handgun for the people who can handle it, there is no better choice than the .45.

You obviously CAN'T handle it, so just say so. There's no shame in it. Many grown men cant handle a .45 as well as a well-trained 16 year old girl. It just depends on how you have trained.
So let me get this straight, Mutt. I can't handle .45 but I can handle the "more powerful" 10mm? Seems to me that you are the one with the small hands, not me. You can probably only BARELY handle the .45 so you go on and on. Tell everyone again why I can't "handle" a comparatively soft recoiling .45 but can "handle" 10mm, .357mag and .44mag, our little "well-trained 16 year old girl", LOL.
I didn't say you can handle a 10MM. I don't know if you can or not.
Most people who put down the .45ACP either can't handle it, or don't know what they are talking about.
Now let's get back to the caliber/capacity controversy.
Again I am going to rely on my real world experience, BUT I will only include my 27 years as a police officer. Time before and after won't count.
Here are the guns I used in my career, in chronological order:S&W K-frame .357 Magnum, 6 rounds. (Models 19 & 66) S&W N-frame .41 Magnum, 6 rounds. S&W K-frame .357 Magnum, 6 rounds. (again) Mod 66 only Colt Combat Commander .45ACP, 7+1 S&W Model 645 .45 ACP, 8+1 S&W 9MM 15+1 (Dept. issue -- mandatory use) About as accurate as buckshot at 100 yards S&W ,40 cal, 13+1 (Dept. issue -- mandatory use) "DAO" ---- pure shit! Those last 2 guns sucked monkey balls.
So ............. to get to the important issue ............ out of ALL those guns, which ones did I ever have to empty and reload on the street (not on the range) in a real shooting situation in 27 YEARS?
Answer: NONE.
Conclusion:
If you feel the need to carry a high capacity 9MM to feel safe, by all means, do it.
But don't think for a minute that I will ever need more than the 10+1 .45 ACP's in my Glock 30. If I feel that I do, I will carry a 13 round G21 magazine as a spare.
If I ever turn out to be wrong, I will leave my widow instructions to notify you. |

For all I know, FRed CAN do all that. There are a lot of people out there who are a lot better with guns than I am. right.... I realize YOU can leap tall buildings in a single bound but I seriously doubt Fred is more powerful than a locomotive...
As for FRed's strength, I guess that depends on how long it has been since he bathed. |
