I certainly don't have a number, and forgetting the rhetoric on both sides for the moment...what law would have prevented this event from happening? In advance, I don't claim to have "the" answer, because truth be told a "the" answer doesn't exist. Let me ask this If it can be proven that banning AR-15s would save 2-3 lives every time someone decides they want to go on a shooting spree, would you be for it? It can't be proven so why are you asking?

Sanders offered his condolences and reminded his audience that while the Orlando gunman may have been Muslim, "To blame an entire religion all the gun owners of America for the acts of a single individual is bigotry [AND IGNORANCE] — pure and simple."
THERE'S your comment. True and factual.

It can't be proven so why are you asking? Because I want you to take you to make a decision. What's more important to you. Guns or human lives Because from where I sit I can tell where you and mutt stand on that

It's an honest question If God came to you and said he would end all violence and not a single person would be killed under the condition you have to give up guns, all guns. What would you do

Mike, the gotcha questions, where you're trying to frame things narrowly in order to get your desired answer are old and tired. And what you suggest above can't be proven. Just FTR.
But, I'll play along for arguments sake and answer yes. I'll leave the implementation of the law up to you as well as being in charge of what to do with the already existing AR-15's in this country...probably about 10 million or so.

Vermont is not a good example. The state essentially has no gun laws, and likely never will due to their Constitution. FWIW, their murder rate is very low.
Harry doesn't have a number either Vermont has the highest gun ownership ratio in the U.S. The state averages about 60 gun deaths per year, the vast majority by suicide. In Montpelier, capital city of Vermont, there has been one capital murder by gun in almost 100 years. Those numbers are acceptable to me. How about you? So, let's use Vermont's wording in its Constitution re: gun ownership and let's copy their laws into all 50 states. You in?

Just another illustration of how liberals are ruled by emotion and not by common sense. Harry hit the bullseye when he said this shit is old and tired. Watching these idiot politicians and talking heads on the boob tube wearing their emotions on their sleeves and throwing their common sense out the window is repulsive. Most of them don't know what they're talking about and keep passing along the same old misinformation.

I'm no gun nut, though I had a few before that string of unfortunate boating accidents. If the laws in Vermont allowed this sale, then there isn't much to say. If the purchase was illegal, then the buyer and seller both should be prosecuted. That said, I have no problem with a federal law mandating a background check for gun sales. But, the check should be done at the local or state level, and no federal employee or agency should have access to any information. If anyone wants to start restricting gun ownership for citizens, then they need to provide an absolute guarantee that all ILLEGAL gun possession will be ended before the rights of law-abiding citizens are to be restricted. Strip the criminals of all guns before restricting legally owned guns.

What would you do Would God also take all illegally owned guns from criminals?
