Been a while since we've reported on Marc's status. Much of it due to the quarantine period we all find ourselves in.
Stuart and I have made it a point to not risk going to Marc's for fear of bringing anything along.
That changed a bit for me when he called and asked me to come over, sounded a bit urgent on his part.

Not good as far as his condition goes, he's on oxygen, shallow breaths, talking is a bit of a chore, he can't get much air in to be able to speak loudly and his coughs are very shallow for the same reason.

Short and quick, either he would pick things up to make a decision or I would hold a number of things and he would tell me which pile they went to. He definitely has some favorite tools that he kept and others went to his son Nigel.
He wasn't able to do much but at the same time he still wanted to do as much as he could himself. Even pulling a cap off lip balm was difficult and when I offered to help he said he's still wanting to do as much as he can himself. He was smiling when he said that though! Who could expect anything less of him!
Pretty heartbreaking.
He thanks everyone for their support and concern.
This one coming from me based on having spent so much time with him over the past few months, he does miss interacting but just not able to do so any longer. All I have to do is bring in a part, or ask a question and so much information comes welling out!
After a while we sat and watched Forbidden Planet, both of us commenting on being young boys when it came out and marveled at the girl's short dress and heels!
His sense of humor completely there and he also commented on the Krell race from the planet Altair and how it relates to the Krell brand speakers.
Mind is definitely always on!

Anyway just wanted to let you know, not the news any of us wanted to hear.
Please keep Marc, his family and loved ones in your thoughts and prayers.
We'll keep posting as we hear more

Yes indeed...& as I said, a spouse (in these cases) is the person you love, have spent your life with, and in Marc & Barb's case, have been together around 50 years...BUT...guys being able to let their natural, smart-ass self out and not worry that 'Joe' is gonna have his feelings hurt....maybe it's that Mars vs Venus thing...

I spoke with Marc today and can give you a short update. HIs wife, Barb, actually set up the call on a speaker phone. He is too weak to speak so she was the "translator" between he and I. I let him (and her) know how many of you have posted kind things about Marc over these past weeks, and how many of you were praying for them. I also let them know how much Marc has meant to so many people here...people that have never personally met him. It is literally thousands. Marc heard all those things and nodded his appreciation to you. Barb also got choked up.

Together, we have raised over $1100 from the album sales that has gone back to the Morin family.

Between Jose and I we will keep you updated as appropriate. Thanks again for the outpouring on Marc's behalf. I wish we could do more.
