I hope you will continue to visit with us as long as you can.
From an interview with Billy Graham, a man I truly admired:
"Before I left that day, I posed this question: “When people ask if Heaven is a literal place and where it is, what will you tell them?” Looking through the window that framed the beautiful Carolina mountains surrounding his home he proclaimed, “Of course Heaven is real because Jesus is real—He is the way, the truth, and the life—and Heaven is where Jesus is—and I am going to Him soon.”
In our several visits we talked about the wonderful aspects of a heavenly home and the devastating darkness of those who will never know such joy. He wished he could take all those who do not believe in the Savior to the foot of His cross where they could settle their eternal destination once and for all and have the hope of eternity in Heaven. Who would not want to be where Jesus is? He is preparing a place for those who love and serve Him—now! Jesus has filled this place with the riches of His eternal truth and everlasting righteousness where the fruits of His works will be forever glorified.
Pouring through his literary works that span nearly eight decades, a fascinating outline emerged and, in time, the book Where I Am was completed—with foundational teaching from the Word of Almighty God. It is not surprising that all 66 books of the Bible point to everlasting life. It is a repetitive theme of Scripture. While Mr. Graham’s preaching was the Gospel message of Jesus Christ, his evangelistic aim was to focus the light of salvation on eternity—where the human race will transcend the confines of a fallen world."

I'll borrow this from a movieAnd so it was. Lighting split the sky, thunder shook the earth, and then all was quiet. The great warrior known as Marc was gone. The people of the land gave him a hero's funeral, the largest anyone had ever seen. They came from far and wide to say farewell to their brave and noble champion. But don't worry. Whenever great deeds are remembered, Marc will live on. For there must always, always be a Marc. And some day, when he's needed, we will see him again... on his fearsome steed, riding like the wind, his sword blazing in the sun... leaping, jumping, swinging through the air... fighting like a lion. Fighting like a tiger. Fighting...

was over at the house for a couple hours again yesterday until his doctor stopped by to visit. marc shared plenty of stories, per usual - I'm sure there were threads of facts in most of them, ha - and I did lots of listening. from the jazz and music scene in central ohio in the 60s/70s, to the history of what was and now is the north side of columbus, to his days on campus, to his old business and the people/connections he made, to who was n'western's star running back in 1970 (mike adamle, which I knew) to who was nu's star rb the next season, when the wildcats beat the bucks at the shoe (that would be the son of one of marc's neighbors, kid named al robinson, which I did not know-lol), to les wexner's 'wife', the guys he's teaching to build turntables, and many other topics... including barb shaking her head at when we first started communication (1994 for us two on aol... finally met 5 or 6 years later). oh yeah, tosu-nd in '95 came up too, thanks to the framed pic on the wall showing an aerial view of that sellout crowd. meds/treatment aftermath caused a couple recall trigger delays, but not many. just wish his body was being more cooperative... his wife (with whom I worked 20 years ago) is working from home now. she remains a sweetheart. continued prayers of comfort... p.s.-marc, don't hesitate to edit my comments to correct my errors.
