My 93 Y.O. Aunt's Care Center

Not sure if this is the right place to post this, but her care center has been declared a "COVID Cluster Site."  Thankfully she is in excellent physical condition.  NO meds except for recently prescribed hypertension med.

The facility did NOT notify patients' families.  I had to read about it on local news websites.

If you have family in one of those places, CALL THE FACILITY and ask about their status.   Don't assume no news is good news.

Imaging center my son used to work for had a guy come in this morning for a CT. Coughing and wearing a mask, but kept pulling the mask down when he coughed. Techs didnt have N95's and he has a positive CT. They ask the owner what to do and this asshole says nothing, nothing to worry about. They tell another doc who says call the CDC and report. So they tell the manager who calls the owner instead and he gets into a screaming match with the smart doc. Wind up sending the patient to the hospital but told the techs they were fine,doesn't want to get shut down. Hoping good doc reports behind his back. Thank God my son left there for the hospital.

Bound to be a lot of that going on.

I swear, if it was my son who got exposed and ignored he would be checked and I'd likely be in jail.

They do no let ANYONE into the facility past the front desk for essential deliveries. They also no longer serve meals in the dining room. Everyone eats in their room.
They test temps, etc. of all staff before they let them on the floor and each member has only one staffer that they interact with.

This place has been on lockdown for at least 2 weeks.

I have no idea what protocol they have in place for the staff, or how they are protecting the patients inside.  I assume they are doing everything possible.  I know .......... I shouldn't assume.

Starting about 3 weeks ago we couldn't even go into the hospital. Shes already been cremated and will wait for things to let before we take her out to sea. Her ashes will be scattered at the same coordinates as my brothers.

I wonder how many mass cremations China has had that they aren't telling anyone about.

Our media is on China's side, not our side. If it wasn't for our overwhelming military might we would've been taken over by communism years ago.

They definitely have not been very forthcoming.


The news comes a day after Dr. Deborah Birx, response coordinator for the White House Coronavirus Task Force, suggested that the U.S. response to the pandemic may not have been as effective as possible due to “missing” data from China.

“The medical community interpreted the Chinese data as, this was serious, but smaller than anyone expected,” Birx said at a press briefing. “Because, probably…we were missing a significant amount of the data, now that we see what happened to Italy and we see what happened to Spain.”

China could have prevented 95 percent of coronavirus infections if it had acted sooner to stem the outbreak, according to one study.

U.S. officials and lawmakers have repeatedly accused China of covering up the extent of the outbreak. On Tuesday, Secretary of State Mike Pompeo urged fellow nations to be transparent about the information they share regarding the coronavirus.

“I would urge every nation: Do your best to collect the data. Do your best to share that information,” Pompeo said. “We’re doing that.”

Cotton argued in a January 28 letter to Pompeo and Health Secretary Alex Azar that the Trump administration should ban travel from China, in part because China was not reporting the extent of the epidemic.

“As of [Tuesday] morning, China has reported that the Wuhan coronavirus has infected more than 4,500 people and killed more than 100,” Cotton wrote. “But the real number is likely far higher — perhaps in the hundreds of thousands — given the Chinese Communist Party’s long history of covering up and minimizing these crises.”

I mentioned this in another thread but the die was cast for a world-wide distribution because of their economic involvement across the globe. It's, in the opinion of some, why Italy and Spain were hot spots initially. They hooked their falling economies to China, who infiltrated their people into the cities. Many of whom were already infected.  Along w the reasons many suggest why they were, from a demographic, susceptible.

We may find out eventually through word of mouth that over 500,000 were killed. Or we may not. But it's clearer today that they've been burning dead bodies 24/7.
