Don't worry, wally will never say it but the logical leftist conclusion will be that the only way to stop the gun violence is to remove all the guns. Of course he knows and we know that that would only INCREASE the gun violence in THIS country unless a nazi type government is in place. I'm sure he'd like that so long as it was still called the democrat party. Nah, I'm in favor of absolutely EVERYBODY having a gun. Everybody. That is what the 2nd A says. "...shall not...". No exceptions. No background checks, No firearms dealers. No paperwork. Outlaw all firearm ID numbers so that all guns are anonymous, anonymously owned and completely untrackable. In addition, all handheld firearms should be legal. If you can carry it, it should be legal. Guns don't kill anyone. Murderers can own kitchen knives. No law against that.. so why not guns?
There ARE laws against murder, robbery, carjacking, rape, and a whole lot of other bad stuff. It doesn't matter what type of force, if any, is used.
An honest citizen is NOT going to use any firearm he owns in an illegal manner. That is NOT what WE do.
I have already proposed harsh penalties for those who use guns in crime, but that doesn't fit the lieberal agenda that criminals are really "victims."
"Tracking" a firearm will not stop a crime, EVER. The best thing about "tracking" is that there is a good chance that a STOLEN firearm will eventually be returned to its owner, assuming it is not held for years as "evidence" before the bad guy ever makes it to trial. As long as that gun is held in evidence, it is NOT taken care of, and could be returned to the rightful owner as a rusty mess.
Now go ahead and name me a constitutional law that will PREVENT a crime. Just one.

Absolutely. So, sell a gun to a felon at a gun show, go to jail for an entire sentence, right? If you knowingly sell a gun to anyone who has been adjudicated as ineligible to own a gun, NO. We already have statutes that apply to illegal sales. If I am private citizen selling a gun ANYWHERE, I am only required to make a reasonable determination that the buy is legally allowed to own it. I am a private citizen making a private sale, and I am not bound by any rules that would turn me into a law enforcement officer.
By the same token, if I am the BUYER, I must use all reasonable means to verify that the gun is not stolen, AND the seller has the legal right to sell it.
If a guy wants to sell me a $700 gun for $200, sure I will buy it, after I have recorded complete ID information from him, and we have 2 fully completed bills of sale --- one for me and one for him. Then I take the gun to the police and ask them to run the serial number through NCIC. If the gun turns up hot, I have proof that I bought it in good faith. I may STILL get arrested for receiving/possessing stolen property, but at least I would have some kind of defense to go to trial with.
You see, most crimes must have "intent" as a qualification for prosecution.
If you USE a gun illegally in the commission of a crime, YES. My laws are specifically aimed at the illegal USE of firearms, not the simple and physically harmless acts of buying/selling a gun.
You obviously did not read, or don't remember my penalties aimed at the illegal USE of a gun in the commission of a crime.
