If a 5'2" 100 lb woman is carrying a gun, her mind IS altered to mitigate her fear of being attacked by a 6'2" 230 lb man.

Since I have guns in my home, my mind is altered to know that any criminal who breaks into my home has a poor chance of leaving alive.

Since I carry a gun, I'm not too worried about anyone attacking me or another innocent person around me.

Putting a gun in the hand of a decent human being will NOT alter his mind and make him commit a crime he would not do anyway.

I don't know how many stores, banks and pharmacies I have entered while armed, and NOT ONCE has my concealed weapon tried to talk me into committing a crime.

CA is so gun paranoid that it's actually a crime to possess an otherwise legally carried firearm within so many blocks of the Capital grounds in Sacramento. Most people who carry here don't know THAT one.

Just went to my doctor this morning for a 6th month checkup.   Before entering the office, I wrapped my Glock and spare magazine is a small towel and locked them in the trunk.  I know it's not a smart move from a survival standpoint, and there is not a "no guns" sign on the door, but I did it anyway.

FTR, my vital signs were perfect.   BP 112/65, pulse 71 (fast for me), resp 22.  O² level is a bit low, but that's to be expected.

My doctor DID recommend getting the Covid vaccine, so I will take that under advisement.

Well, I AM on B/P meds, in the interest of transparency.

I don't know what my heart rate was before my 4x bypass surgery, because I didn't care.   Since the surgery its resting rate has always been in the 60s range.  I had a few panic attacks that scared the hell out of me and even resulted in two trips to the ER, which of course ended up being unnecessary.

I've learned to relax even more, and not worry about a whole lot.
