Modern medicine is truly amazing. My pastor (my age) got a knee replacement about 5 years ago and he was out of commission for a month. Super glad to hear it went so well!  |

Wait till the morphine wears off😁 Already there. Grateful for the nerve block for now. Did get 5 mg of Oxycodon an hour or so ago. Feeling very positive for now. |

Cane, how are you feeling? Thinking of you, bud... Doing really well. Came home Tuesday and had my first Home Care and PT visits Wednesday. Already about to extend to zero and flex past 90 degrees so my PT is very happy. Main thing right now is the soreness from the cut muscles, skin, etc. Gets a little bit better every day. I am walking with a walker and lifting my bad leg up 4 to 5 inches off the ground. I will say the range of motion exercises they have me doing are worse than the actual surgery. Do love my iceman machine though. |

Already saw the correction below, so I'll just say, yes, they are. This knee has less than half a mile on it and they have me standing on one foot, on that side and counting to fifteen. Definitely not much fun. |

Well, status one week post surgery. Lower leg continues fairly swollen but not alarming. I have two spots on my incision that continue to weep. Absolutely no signs of infection. Extension remains full to zero while flexion I have up to 97 degrees. Will likely go yo PT facility starting next week. Pain is tolerable. I'm moving in the right direction.

PT is great, as I'm sure you know...but after a while, it does get tiresome...From experience, once you hit that point where you say to hekk with it, that's good enough...I'll do more on my own...you have reached your new limits... |
