Well, I'm not surprised to see that our local Trump loons and hairy chickens still don't know the moral difference between a tragic accident and a deliberate murder.
Some guys are slow learners, and some guys never learn.

Moral difference between tragic accident and deliberate murder:
Tragic accident: Driving car off bridge. Deliberate murder: Leaving scene and deliberately leaving woman in car to die.

Nonsense. Leaving the scene of an accident might be a crime, but it's not murder. The law has no expectation that someone must try to save someone from dying in an accident or else face murder charges.

Nonsense. Leaving the scene of an accident might be a crime, but it's not murder. The law has no expectation that someone must try to save someone from dying in an accident or else face murder charges. Not always true. The Legal Duty to Rescue Someone Else In general, there is no legal requirement in the United States to help and rescue someone else who is in danger. This would typically apply even in extreme situations where a bystander sees a small child who has wandered into the street or a man who has fallen onto the train tracks. There are some exceptions to this rule. Ten states have limited rules that may require you to help a crime victim if you can do so without danger or peril to yourself or to others (California, Florida, Massachusetts, Hawaii, Minnesota, Ohio, Rhode Island, Vermont, Washington and Wisconsin.) In certain scenarios, the law may impose a duty upon you to help rescues someone else who is in danger. Those situations are generally as follows: Special Relationships and Circumstances You may have a duty to rescue someone as a result of a special relationship that exists between you and the person in danger, such as between a teacher and a student. You Created the Danger If your own negligence creates a danger to another person and causes that person to require rescuing, you will usually be found to have a legal duty to rescue the person in danger. You Began to Rescue-- If you begin to rescue a person in peril, you may have a legal duty to finish your attempt. The court usually applies a reasonableness standard. If you began a rescue and then stopped, the court may find that you may have a duty to continue if a reasonable person would have done so under the circumstances. www.thelaw.com/law/good-samaritan-laws-the-duty-to-help-or-rescue-someone.218/

Ted Kennedy tried to save Kopechne and failed. He didn't "leave her in a car to die." That's Republicon BS-- your specialty.

She was already dead. He didn't "leave her there to die," as you claimed. Got it. After causing her death he intentionally left her underwater for 9 hours. Thanks for clarifying. What a guy. I can see why a dirt bag like you revered Ted Kennedy.

I can see why a dirt bag like you revered Ted Kennedy. Get a clue, Mr. Sleaze. I never "revered" Ted Kennedy, but he did some good things in his career-- especially helping establish Medicare and Medicaid, which you Koch-sucking Repub sleazeballs have been trying to ruin for years. The car at Chappaquiddick careened into the water in the dark, as I understand it. Ted tried to save Kopechne but he couldn't. She drowned. What is it about "tragic accident" that you Republicon sleazeballs don't understand? (And, incidentally, there is some anecdotal evidence that the CIA and E. Howard Hunt may have been involved in setting up the Chappaquiddick accident.)

Don'tcha just love the colorful adjectives they use when talking about Teddy manslaughter, 1/6 and 9/11...? Drunk off your ass drunk driving translates to "careening in the dark". It was all the dark's fault.

You're still pretending that the FBI didn't arrest and detain the five "dancing" Israeli Mossad agents (for 70 days) after witnesses saw them filming and celebrating the WTC demolitions in Liberty Park on 9/11 and called the cops? Still hiding your head in your ass, eh?
