I disagree. South Carolina is not very good...especially on defense. They've given up at least 21 points to everyone they've played, and given up 34 or more in 4 of their 6.
Kentucky is still mediocre...all this win showed is that South Carolina isn't a good barometer to show the quality of a particular team.

And to think, the Gamecocks were actually ranked in the top 10...again. Some things never change, I guess.

LSU is too young right now and will continue to take lumps, and no one in the east is any better than decent outside of Georgia...who is top 15 IMO. I don't think any game remaining on the Gators' schedule is a sure fire loss...and I include FSU there because the Noles haven't dominated anyone all year. If I had to pick...I'd put losses to UGA, FSU, and one other....either Carolina or Mizzou will get ya. Harris should remain your starter. If he gets hurt...all bets are off.

If I had to pick...I'd put losses to UGA, FSU, and one other....either Carolina or Mizzou will get ya. Harris should remain your starter. If he gets hurt...all bets are off. That would be 7-4 with the Idaho cancellation, but I get your 4 loss prediction. As I said originally, Steve Spurrier would likely disagree with you concerning UK. I disagree too. A mediocre team doesn't rally from 14 down in the 4th quarter to win by a TD over USC. Whatever the cats are, they are something better than mediocre at 4-1 and after what they did last night. It was immensely entertaining watching that rally in the 4th quarter. LSU and Mizzou are in The Swamp so advantage Gators. Revenge is also a factor. The Gators are going unbeaten at home. Cowboy says UGALY is weak in the secondary and admits the QBs aren't up to usual poodle standards. They do get their top 2 WRs back this week, but can Mason consistently get them the ball. Barring season ending injuries to UF's D-line, I think the Gators can take the poodles this season. The poodles will have to be balanced to beat the Gator D. The only lock loss on the schedule remains FSU. I agree with you that it isn't as strong of a lock as at the beginning of the season. I'm holding out with my 2 loss prediction until I can't. Of course, this presumes Treon Harris is elevated over Jeff Driskel. As you know, I would have liked nothing more than for Driskel to be a success in the new offense. Unfortunately, he hasn't proved it in the first four games. It's time to get Harris the snaps with the 1s in practice this week. If he doesn't get the job done, Muschamp can go back to Driskel. My hunch is Harris won't fail. It might be crazy, but the kid reminds me of Russell Wilson. I can see why FSU was so interested in him.

I think true freshman Jalen Tabor has earned the right to start at CB with Vernon Hargreaves. He's much better than Bryan Poole. True freshman Duke Dawson should remain the starter at safety with Keanu Neal:
2014 Florida Football Postgame Notes Florida 10, Tennessee 9 October 4, 2014 Team Notes Florida overcame a nine-point deficit in the fourth quarter, marking its largest fourth-quarter comeback since Sept. 27, 2003 at Kentucky; in that contest, UF trailed by 18 and won 24-21. The nine-point comeback marks the second-best road comeback by the Gators since 1966. Florida defeated Tennessee for the tenth consecutive year dating back to 2005. The Gators won for the ninth time in 11 meetings in Knoxville since 1994. o The Orange and Blue now lead the all-time series in Knoxville, 12-11. UF now leads the all-time series 25-19. The Gators converted seven third downs; entering the contest, Tennessee had allowed just 11 conversions (21 percent) in four games this season, and just four in its past two games. Florida was 4-of-10 on third down in the first half, marking its best first-half conversion rate in SEC play this year. The Gators sacked Tennessee quarterback Justin Worley six times on the day. UF forced Tennessee into four three-and-outs on 14 drives, including back-to-back three-and-outs to start the game. Tennessee was 3-of-4 on the day in the red zone, with three field goals and no touchdowns. The Gators outscored the Vols 10-6 after halftime, increasing their second-half advantage this year to 57-30. The Orange and Blue rushed for at least 100 yards as a team for the fourth straight contest. Individual Notes Sophomore cornerback Vernon Hargreaves III intercepted Worley on Tennessee’s first drive of the second-half, marking his fourth career pick and his first this year. Freshman defensive backs Duke Dawson and Jalen Tabor made their first career starts. Tabor strip-sacked Tennessee quarterback Justin Worley in the third quarter and recovered the fumble. The play marked Tabor’s first quarterback takedown and his first forced fumble as a Gator. Bryan Cox Jr. sacked Worley three times on the day, marking the first three-sack game by a Gator since Carlos Dunlap had three at Mississippi State on Oct. 24, 2009. Keanu Neal sealed the win for Florida with his team-leading third interception of the season. Junior running back Matt Jones scored a touchdown for the third time in four games this year. Jones rushed for 100+ yards in a game for the second time this season and the third time in his career. Quinton Dunbar caught a six-yard pass from Driskel in the second quarter, extending his streak of consecutive games with a reception to 32. Dunbar is second on Florida’s all-time list, three games behind Ike Hilliard (35 games, 1994-97). Big Plays Saturday: o Jeff Driskel: 16-yard run, first quarter o Matt Jones: 16-yard run, second quarter o Matt Jones: 11-yard run, second quarter o Matt Jones: 32-yard run, fourth quarter Other Today’s attendance: 102,455 Game Captains: RSR LB Neiron Ball, RSR OT Chaz Green, JR LB Antonio Morrison, RJR WR Valdez Showers Weather at Kickoff: 54 degrees, sunny, winds WNW 10 mph Florida won the opening coin toss and deferred to the second half; Tennessee received the opening kickoff, with the Volunteers defending the south endzone.

Next up: 4-2 LSU vs. 3-1 UF in The Swamp. I always enjoy the LSU game because it gives me a chance to read Dandy Don during the week leading up to the game.

Bloody Damn Hell!:
Monday October 6, 2014 Statement from University of Florida University Relations Gainesville, Fla.
University of Florida student athlete Treon Harris is accused of sexually assaulting a female student early Sunday morning in a residence hall on the UF campus.
The University of Florida Police Department is investigating the incident, and UFPD has brought in the Gainesville Police Department to assist with collection and analysis of forensic evidence.
The investigation is ongoing and we do not have an update regarding any charges at this time.
The University of Florida and the University Athletic Association are cooperating fully.
Due to legal and privacy requirements, there are limitations as to what the university can say publicly about a pending matter such as this. In these types of serious situations, Student Affairs initiates the Student Conduct Code process. Often, a student may be suspended on an interim basis, which means he or she is banned from campus and all campus activities, pending the outcome of the conduct process.
UAA has suspended Treon Harris from all team activities.
“We have no tolerance for sexual assault on our campus,” UF President Bernie Machen said. “The university is committed to providing a safe and inclusive environment for every member of the UF community. We must strive to protect all of our students from sexual harassment and assault, and do everything in our power to promote a safe learning environment.”
UF continues to provide a wide variety of support services and resources. The university continually enhance its campus efforts to address issues of sexual assault and harassment.
As this process unfolds and is resolved, UF is committed to addressing this serious matter with integrity, fairness and compassion.

Will Muschamp cancelled his Monday presser, but this is what I can report on injuries:
MLB Michael Taylor traveled to UT and participated in pregame workouts, but he didn't play. He will likely play against LSU.
QB Will Grier has been cleared by the doctors to return to practice this week. He had been out the last two weeks with back spasms.
WR CJ Worton has been cleared to return to practice as his broken hand has healed. I hope he gets on the field at the slot as Latroy Pittman was manhandled by UT along with his dropping a pass. Pittman may as well not be on the field.
DT Leon Orr will likely be cleared to return to practice. He had his knee scoped two weeks ago today.

What do you think of the chances of burning Greir's redshirt?

What do you think of the chances of burning Greir's redshirt? It could be two weeks before we know anything on Treon Harris. That takes us through the Mizzou game. Hopefully, the situation will be resolved one way or the other before UGA practice week. Skyler Mornhinweg is available in case something happens to Jeff Driskel. It looks to me that it's sink or swim with Jeff and Skyler so long as both are available. Will Grier has missed the last couple of weeks with back spasms. My guess is he won't be ready to do enough to warrant lifting his redshirt this week. If Driskel or Mornhinweg get injured, there would be no choice other than to burn Grier's redshirt. Again, hopefully, the Harris situation will be resolved before a redshirt removal decision on Grier has to be made. It would be nice to have both Grier and Harris in 15.

Surprised you don't have a walk on option to protect Grier's shirt.
Season would be cooked at that point anyway.

I'm not familiar with any of them. Then why burn Grier's shirt midseason? Even with Grier in there, your likelihood of winning enough games to have a "successful" season is flushed down the toilet. I'd play the walk-on, especially if an injury to Driskell or the backup is something that isn't season-ending.
