Will Grier is the starter for Ole Miss. Treon Harris will play as the change of pace QB. Think tOSU 96 when they played with this type of QB arrangement right through their Rose Bowl win over Arizona State. I'd like to think this arrangement will be acceptable to Harris if Grier holds on to the starter job, but my guess is he'll transfer next spring. There are a lot of P5 schools where Treon Harris would be the starter.
Travaris Dorsey (LG) is out of the Ole Miss game with an unspecified injury. Martez Ivey (LT) practiced at LG instead of LT yesterday. Tyler Jordan (C) or Andrew Mike (RG) could also play the position. Trip Thurman (LG) would probably have to leave the game with his injured shoulder for those two to move over to LG. The numbers are stiil there, but we're getting thin on the OL. I can't even tell you who the next man up would be beyond the 10 players listed on the 2 deep depth chart.
Vernon Hargreaves has been back spasm free in practice this week. That bodes well for UF's secondary against Ole Miss' great WR corps.
C'yontai Lewis was still wearing a club cast on his injured hand at practice yesterday. If the doctors approve him for a soft cast, he can play against Ole Miss. My guess is he is out until at Mizzou next week.

Coach Mac has a chance to join some special company:
Scott Carter @gatorsscott
#Gators HC Jim McElwain trying to become first UF coach to start inaugural season 5-0 since Steve Spurrier in 1990.

"I knew Steve Spurrier, and you, Mr. McElwain, are no Steve Spurrier." We'll see come Saturday night. I'm actually getting more confident the closer we get to the game. The rebs put their football pants on the same way the Gators do. The same goes for Fournette and the tiggers when the time comes.

I agree with that. The difference is, Fournette is likely to knock some Gators OUT of their pants. He is a tank hitting a VW head on, and no one wants a part of that.

You seem to forget that UF has already played against Fournette once. If UF had any of the TEs in our current 3 deep playing, the Gators would have won that game. I'll go back and look at the stats Fournette put up against a good UF defense that is similar to the defense this season.

IF LSU's QB had been settled last year, the Gators would have been beaten worse. Harris knows what he is doing this year. The LSU O line is different form last year's too. So is LSU's D. Fournette is also bigger, stronger, and more confident.
Comparing this year to last year is fruitless. Better you should worry about UGA right now.

I'm always confident against the tiggers even when UF hasn't been very good. We'll get to game week soon enough.

But the Gators have a Wunderlich on the team. My condolences.

Fuckadoodledoo! Treon Harris could be starting against Ole Miss tomorrow. Will Grier was one of the 9 players hit by the flu this week. It will be a bus ride to the stadium decision if Grier can start or play.

Will Grier won the QB competition. Treon Harris is a good QB, but I like UF's chances much better with Grier starting and playing. It's bad news to have Grier so sick he might not can play.
