Is that good news or bad?
Will Grier won the QB competition. Treon Harris is a good QB, but I like UF's chances much better with Grier starting and playing. It's bad news to have Grier so sick he might not can play.
Good luck anyway. The good news is, sick is not a broken leg or something.

Starting quarterback Will Grier is one of several Florida players battling the flu bug and his status is uncertain for Saturday night’s game against No. 3 Ole Miss, The Sun has confirmed.
If Grier is unable to go, true sophomore Treon Harris moves up as the starter. Harris started the opener and shared playing time with Grier in the first two games. The No. 2 quarterback would be Vanderbilt transfer Josh Grady.
UF coach Jim McElwain said Wednesday that numerous players were dealing with the bug, including several starters. McElwain said some players who fell ill Monday were able to practice Wednesday.
Chad Grier, the QB’s father, said there is no way the flu is keeping his son off the field.

Congrats to the gators on a thorough whipping on the rebels. 38-10 seems to be a popular number for sec statement wins today. Anyone who thinks they have a clue as to how this year pans out is telling some tall tales. Impressive performance, especially in defense.

It's been a long time since the Gators have had a solid 4 quarters against a really good team, and it was awesome to watch.

Will that do?

I didn't watch the whole game, naturally, but what I did see was a hellacious performance by the Gators! Congrats to the UF fans here, and I'm looking forward to the Gators coming to town in 2 weeks. PLEASE don't play that well then!

UF picked up a commitment last night from McArthur Burnett, a 4 star CB. He's from south Florida. At one time, he was a Miami commitment. This from Gator Country:
McArthur Burnett makes commitment #21 for the Gators
Written by Andrew Spivey, October 4, 2015, 0 Comments,
The Florida Gators produced a lot of fireworks on the field against Ole Miss on Saturday those fireworks continued in recruiting as the Gators picked up commitment no. 21 on Saturday night.
Cornerback McArthur Burnett (6-1, 180, Pahokee, FL High) committed to the Florida Gators over offer from Miami and the Florida State Seminoles.
Burnett was in attendance at the Gators game on Saturday night and has been huge Gators lean since he visited Gainesville multiple times this summer.
At Pahokee Burnett plays both running back and cornerback but the Gators were recruiting him to play cornerback.
Burnett who was clocked at 4.41 in the forty yard dash was committed to Miami for several months before decommitting in June, due in large part to the effort that Florida Gators defensive backs coach Kirk Callahan did in recruiting him.
With Burnett now committed the Gators have six commits from the likes of Chauncey Gardner, Aaron Robinson C.J. McWilliams, Jayvaughn Myers, Quincy Lenton and Jeawon Taylor in the defensive backfield.
Burnett has 45 carries this season for 480 yards and five touchdowns while playing running back.

From Gatorzone:
Scott Carter @gatorsscott
Notable: #Gators QB Will Grier is first UF quarterback to throw for 250+ yards in consecutive games since Tim Tebow in 2007.

Hugh Freeze was blunt in his assessment of the defeat.
"They beat us in every facet of the game," he said, per Mark Long of the Associated Press (via the Charlotte Observer). "We didn't play with the intensity that we needed to and we didn't take care of the football. We had a solid plan, but we didn't execute it."
