Look for TE C'yontai Lewis to have a big year. The Gators are blessed to have good depth at TE for the 2018 season.

I'll believe the others when I see them do it in game action.

I would have liked to have seen a QB on the list, but apparently UF will enter summer camp with QB being a question mark. For 2018 to be successful, QB and the OL must be much improved over anything we've seen since Will Grier was suspended at midseason 2015 at the start of the week before the at LSU game.

True freshman Justin Watkins has been suspended from all team activities due to domestic violence, both misdemeanors and felonies. It is his second run in with the law in 3 months:

He is as good as gone from the team and UF. The Gators will start summer camp with 80 ship players barring anymore changes. That includes the DE transfer who is supposed to enroll in August.

I think it will come down to Franks and Trask with Jones having a package of plays much like Tim Tebow had in 2006. I keep hearing good things about Trask's passing accuracy, but I can't see him beating out Franks who got his baptism of fire in the 4-7 debacle last season. It'll take a QB who can make plays passing and running along with improved OL play if 2018 is to be a success for the Gators.

Adam Shuler, 6'4"/270 graduate transfer DE from West Virginia, has graduated at WVU, been accepted by UF, will enroll on August 2, and will start camp with the team on August 3.

I just hope Shuler can be a contributor with his experience. UF isn't lacking on the DL so he'll have to compete for his minutes and go hard on every play.

There will be some first game suspensions per normal, but more than normal not that it will matter with the one-way ticket opener. Just get them back for Colorado State to get them ready for the start of SEC play. At least it isn't the debacle that credit cardgate was last August when UF's season was ruined before the first kickoff:

Noticeably missing is 5 star RB Trey Sanders out of Bradenton IMG who 247Sports has as bama at 1 (70%) and UF at 2 (26%) on his list. His brother Umstead Sanders enrolled as a preferred walk on 240 lb. LB from a JUCO to UF so we'll see if he wants to join his brother or not. Umstead could earn a ship in camp and become a contributor at MLB. Trey Sanders comes from a family of Gator fans so my gut is telling me it is closer than what 247Sports is acknowledging. It wouldn't be a total surprise to see Trey Sanders decide to stay closer to home for his family and to play with his brother. The key is for UF to get off to a good start under Dan Mullen.

Countdown To Camp - Running Backs:

With the spread option, these backs are really going to get the chance to shine. I don't see how this season isn't going to be running back by committee and going with the hot back at the time. Adding receivers true freshman Jacob Copeland and sophomore Kadarius Toney getting carries out of the slot and at wildcat could give UF its best running game since 2012 and the Tim Tebow era before that.

He's a graduate transfer growing up in the Orlando area. He decided he wanted to finish his college career close to home. The UF coaching staff is happy to have him.
