Wow!!! UF now needs to beat one of FSU or South Carolina, along with Georgia Southern, in order to get bowl eligible and avoid a sub .500 season. Muschamp has got to be on the bubble.

I'd like to think Muschamp is in trouble, but Foley has already said he will be back no matter what happens this season. IMO, Muschamp is officially on notice of sitting on the hot seat going into the 2014 season. However, the Gators, barring another year of devastating injuries, should be a very good team in 2014 in terms of talent, depth, and seasoned experience. I remember a season a few years back when Georgia lost the entire starting ofensive line to season-ending injuries even before the opening game. I know how you Lizards feel about now.

Defintely on the hot seat. From the Sugar bowl to the Idaho Potato bowl (if they can get to 6 )UF is not going to a bowl. We'll be lucky to beat Georgia Southern. The team has lost all confidence in itself. This is the worst offense the Gators have had since Carter was president.

The offense is so far gone and team morale so low, I really don't see why Foley is holding on to Muschamp. IMO, Muschamp is over his head offensively and not quite ready for prime time with UF. I think there will be some offensive coaching staff changes, OC likely and OL maybe, but that may not be enough for the offensive train wreck.
With the above stated, what you saw Stanford do to Oregon with a ball control running game is exactly what Muschamp succeeded with last year and aspires to for the future. Unfortunately, it can get boring to watch over time and will get you tagged with losses against teams where the LOS is basically equal. Gator fans want wins and excitement in UF fashion.

Moten decommitted officially today. An insider said he basically decommitted 3 weeks ago. This wasn't a surprise. My guess is he wouldn't be a safe commit for any team including Miami at this stage. I'm pretty sure Muschamp will continue to recruit the kid regardless of what he says or does. I'll let you know if I see any Cook rumors. I asked about the rumor in the Moten thread on Gator Country so I'm guessing it will get some responses. Moten finally pulled the trigger for the Canes today. Everyone says he has really stepped up this year and has the potential to be an impact DT as a freshman. Just what we need.

Saw this and see Cook saying he will commit at the UA game. Did he decommit from UF and I didn't hear about it?
New Cook Article on 247 - He's now 80% committed to UF, he's still making some decisions and wants to find his own for the next 4 years
- He's ov UM December 6t. "I just feel like over the past weeks, they've been coming at me strong," he said. "I just feel like I should give them a good look and try to show a little interest in the program."
- He's being recruited by Yearby and Darling hard but maybe who's recruiting him the hardest is Hurlie Brown. He's recruiting him really hard and he calls Cook probably every morning. Also, Cook calls him when he gets to school and they chat it up.
- Location is also huge for him. "I grew up a 'Cane. Who didn't grow up a 'Cane?" he said. "Everybody always wanted to be a 'Cane, but there's some decisions you've just got to make"
- Another factor is the struggles of UF. "When you're a top player coming out your class, you always want to go play on a good team and a top team," he said. "I just feel like with them struggling right now, it'll probably bring my recruiting down or something like that, I don't know."
- FSU is also making a huge push. He thinks the type of players and offense that they're running fits him perfectly in their system. He gets along well with the rbs coach and his style of coaching and loved his visit on the campus
- Lane keeps in contact wth him too. Lane texts him asking if he's 100% and Cook responds that he is, just a way to sell UF and they talk every day
- Da'Vante Phillips is also recruiting him for UF. He's like Cooks little brother and he'll have an impact on his decision along with family, coaches and other people like that
- He's going to the FSU-UF game but wont use an ov since he's seen everything he needs to see
- He plans to commit before the UA game. "Probably after the season or probably state game," he said. "I will probably make my final decision after the game. I'll probably put that hat on."

It is what it is with Cook. Nothing at this point would surprise me. If he is letting a season clouded with injuries affect his judgment, he should decommit and move along. To answer your question, he has not decommitted from UF. Besides, he'll make a great CB at Miami. Bama had two highly regarded recruits decommit this week. It's part of the recruiting process for every team.

For all his talk, nobody seems to believe the really wants to go head to head with Yearby still for playing time. So if he decided to go ahead and play corner, maybe he would choose Miami.

Trn will agree with you. However, I think it more likely he sticks with UF if not changing to Miami. Up until now, Cook has been playing the recruiting game saying the right things as a UF commit to justify the visits he wanted to take. A December 6 visit to Miami says there may be more to his process now than before. Time will tell.

This is what I hate about re rating these days. Kids commit and then continue to take visits and talk about being 50% or 70% committed. To me it like saying you are a little bit pregnant. You are either committed or you are not.
