It is going to be interesting to see where Cook finally ends up. A group of guys who have coached so many of the south Florida kids growing up in the city leagues in Miami think there is a decent chance he flips to Miami but I just don't see it happening. The one UF commitment that I think if highly probably to flip to Miami is J.C. Jackson. Those coaching guys also think Lane flips at the end, but I am not so sure the coaches are even on him that much anymore.

Cook has more friends pulling him to UF or Miami than FSU. Just a gut feeling, but I think he sticks with UF.

I hope if he flips, obviously that he come to Miami. I'd rather not have to face him the next four years and since UF is ducking us for the time being......
Now the interesting story developing is Sony Michael. Seems that now Sony's brother is not transferring to UGA after all. Word is he is deciding between FIU and FAU. Very interesting. He still says all the right things but he has taken a visit to Miami and evidently is talking to the coaches quite a bit. Don't know if he will flip, but it certainly looks like much more of a possibility than it did prior to his brother deciding against UGA.

UF needs, not wants, 2 RBs in the 14 class. I'm amazed there aren't more top quality RBs considering the 2nd slot. Last week, UF offered Daryl Williams, a RB out of Louisiana who is currently committed to Arizona. He has a good offer list. UF really wanted Bo Scarbrough, a RB committed to bama, but he hasn't yet given UF any real consideration through the entire process except to say UF if not bama.

Losing 5 in a row in the SEC with the amount of injuries you have endured is one thing. And losing to an FCS school is another thing but losing to a 4-loss FCS team that didn't complete a pass when your head coach has a defensive pedigree is cause for dismissal. I don't see how Muschamp survives that.

And losing to an FCS school is another thing but losing to a 4-loss FCS team that didn't complete a pass when your head coach has a defensive pedigree is cause for dismissal. I don't see how Muschamp survives that. Jeremy Foley and Bernie Machan went out on a limb earlier in the season offering support for Will Muschamp. I don't have any confidence that Muschamp will be fired. At best, we'll see a new OC and a new OL coach. Foley made two football HC hires and both have been bad, Ron Zook and Will Muschamp. Spurrier was hired pre-Foley and Machan hired Urban Meyer. I expect Foley will give Muschamp one more year even with a 4-8 finish and the embarrassing loss to Georgia Southern. I have no ill will toward Will Muschamp. I happen to believe he is over his head as a HC at this time. I know he can get the job done defensively, but he is completely lacking when it comes to offense. UF has been bad offensively under Will Muschamp with two different OCs. That can't be resolved satisfactorily with me. IMO, for the long-term good of the Florida football and athletic programs, Will Muschamp should be terminated by the University of Florida.

Terry, how can you say Muschamp can get the job done defensively when Ga. Southern just ran for 429 yards without completing a single pass? The Gators knew what was coming and still couldn't stop it.
Again, if this were Alabama or LSU it could be dismissed as a bad day but this was a 4-loss team from a lower division. Even the worst players on the Florida roster should have been able to stop the bleeding at some point.
As I told my neighbor, the loss in and of itself isn't terribly shocking. How it happened absolutely was. And if Foley doesn't have the guts to change his mind and pull the trigger, the program is going to dig themselves an even bigger hole than Muschamp has already put them in.

We were listening to the game on the road heading home from Miami. I was just amazed that game was in doubt in the 4th quarter, but I think what really shocked me, other than the loss itself obviously, was the 4th and 1 play on Southerns last possession. UF needed a stop, get the ball back and kick a field goal and they win. Instead Southern feeds the fullback on the dive and he not only busts the LOS for the first down but he hits the second level and runs for about 50 yards. With the team speed UF has in the secondary and linebackers how in the hell does a big, rambling fullback run for 50 yards?

COOK WANTS TO STAY IN STATE. by Tito Benach
2014 Miami Central (Fla.) running back Dalvin Cook had two rushing touchdowns in his teams 59-14 win over Dillard, but also contributed on the defensive side of the ball with an interception return for a touchdown. He spoke about being able to help the team out on both ends of the game.
“I knew coming into the season I had to work for it and I had to get my body in shape and I just know it’s paying off right now.”
Cook added to the rushing attack for Central with 2 of his own to go along with 3 from Joe Yearby and talked about both of their performances.
“It means a lot to us that even with the ref’s throwing all the flags we can do what we do and it shows that the work we’re putting in off the field is showing up on the field.”
The next matchup for the Rockets is American Heritage from Delray Beach and the mindset going forward and the focus cannot change according to the Florida commit.
“We just have to go into practice with the mindset that we can’t be beaten and we have to give it 110% at practice. We go into the locker room every day and we put a quote up on the board like we gotta stay humble and we know we have a bunch of seniors on the team, but we play like we’re freshmen.”
Cook committed to the Gators back in the spring of last year and has been keeping in contact with other schools since then. Now the heat has turned up on Cook as he is nearing the time for enrolling early.
One school that made news with the 5’11 200 pound running back was Miami, when he recently announced that he would be visiting on the 6th of December.
“I’m just looking to spend more time with the whole coaching staff, I haven’t been able to do that yet. Just to be around them for 48 hours and I just want to be around them and get to know them more.”
Two of Cook’s teammates including Joseph Yearby and offensive tackle Trevor Darling are committed to the Hurricanes and he is aware they will be pushing him.
“Right now at this point they aren’t really talking to me about it like that because we are really focused on trying to win this state title for our last year, but once this season is over with those last couple of weeks, since we are all early enrollee’s, they are going to be on my chest.”
Florida State is another school that has made a strong push for the electric running back and he talked about his draw to Tallahassee.
“FSU is a great program, they’re back on the rise. I feel like I’m the type of back, I can get anywhere on the field and they’re offense they can put you anywhere on the field to make a play.”
While it’s not for certain where Cook will end up, he is sure on what state he will land in.
“I’m planning on staying in state.”
As far as when the decision will be made, Cook has somewhat of an Idea of when it will happen.
“It’s going to be at the Under Armour game or after the State game.”
What are the chances that Cook ends up decommitting from the Gators.
“It’s probably like a 60 percent chance.”

I had no clue how that game was progressing, so when they announced the final score at the shoe, there was a combo gasp/cheer. I immediately looked down at Meyer... He didn't change his expression but he looked up at the scoreboard after the announcement, so even during a game he noticed. Shocker. Mark Scott Tosu 81
