gene smith announced today he plans to present to the osu bd of trustees a $42 million proposal for improvements and actually a reduction in the total number of seats at ohio stadium. if approved it would be a 4 year project beginning in '17 to add 12 more luxury suites and 35 loge boxes, mostly in b deck which still has some obstructed views. i assume those would be on the east/visitors side of the stadium, opposite the west/home side where there are suites in what used to be b deck there and above c deck. it would reduce the stadium seating capacity from 104,944 to 102,854, but i'm guessing the increased revenue from the more upscale seating will make up for the 2,000 lost seats over time. it will also push more ticket holders into a deck and c deck, making for better optics than having fans 'hidden' from view in b deck.

watching the HS highlights of him.......from the RB position carrying the ball.....sure hope Meyer offered #52 a shcolly too. The kid plays pulling guard perfectly. If he's a bit under sized for the B10.......OSU could always use a big FB in the H-back slot.

April Fools joke?
Joey Bosa has come forward saying, "I will hold out if drafted by the Baltimore Ravens". A huge blow to what could be a great pick-up in the 2016 NFL Draft.
According to multiple sources a big reason for the hold-out involves John Harbaugh's brother, Jim, and coaching the Michigan Wolverines. Apparently the rivalry stems even to the professional level.

Notes from the Ozone... Just back from practice. Some quick notes... Michael Jordan was with the ones the entire time we were there, but both Pat Elflein and Billy Price were out, so that could have been why. Or not. The OL went Jones-Jordan-Taylor-Knox/Lisle-Prince. Austin Mack was with the ones all day. Not sure he took any snaps with the twos. Torrance Gibson was with the twos, but had a beautiful over-the-shoulder grab for about 40 yards from Joe Burrow. Very impressed by Jashon Cornell--quick and strong, as well as Rob Landers. Rashod Berry had some moments as well. Antonio Williams was probably the best RB of the day, but he was going against the twos. Dunn and Weber split the carries with the ones. Stephen Collier got one series while we were watching. Probably 25 mins worth of scrimmaging. It was mainly Barrett and Burrow. Interestingly, Damon Webb was the #1 FS, but when they go to nickel, Hooker moves over to FS and Webb moves to nickel and EGW would come in at SS. I'll have a much more substantial practice report in a bit. Oh, and video of the circle drills. (posted) theozone.net/

Despite what he says...it was noted that with a lack of in & out burger in Ohio, there WAS a White Castle close to where he was stopped... www.elevenwarriors.com/ohio-state-football/2016/04/69413/troy-smith-makes-statement-on-arrest
