jodi asks me why i watch, weekly. when i was busy putting up lights, getting our tree, etc all afternoon yesterday, she said, 'you finally gave up on the browns, eh?'. i hesitated for a moment, wondering if i could score some points without telling her that they actually had a bye. They had a bye? Did they win?
It's the Browns..anything is possible

Stat from MNF: 9 players from 2015 tOSU team are starters in NFL, 6 had eligibility left. This could have been the greatest year ever...

This could have been the greatest year ever... the fact that osu went 11-1 after losing 16 starters, having 14 go to the nfl, 12 in the 1st 4 rounds, and having 9 of them starting on sundays, is something that has gotten such little publicity nationally... in terms of crediting meyer, his staff and this young team for having this kind of success to date.

You're right. VERY rarely mentioned, especially later this year. It was a danged shame that it took a loss to MSU to wake up CUFM so he could make some necessary changes. We shoulda had back-to-backs.

not sure if the pic on the right is the same play, but i also loved when j.t. made a move on peppers in that 40 yard run in the 4th qtr, where peppers not only missed him initially, but then couldn't catch him either.

We shoulda had back-to-backs.oh so tough to do, but the talent was there. it is very very difficult to run the table of a d-1 season. so many variables. everyone remembers w/fondness the '68 super soph team, but the '69 team was significantly better. only problem.. you turn the ball over 7 times in ann arbor vs a good um team. the '75 team, who beat ucla easily early in the season then get the misfortune of a rematch in pasadena. following the '02 title team, '03 was poised to be even better. but the clarett fiasco which began actually in tempe blew up over the summer, leading to his suspension as fall camp began. osu had no one like him to fill the gap, add in krenzel hurting his throwing elbow the week before the uw game... more proof that even w/great talent you often still need some good fortune. meyer's '07 season in gainesville was similar to this year's here, as far as losing a ton of talent off a championship team. the results in '16, imho, are just another example of how meyer has continued to improve overall as a coach, being able to achieve what this team did. that '07 uf team was good, even tho the final record was 9-4 ('07 was a ridiculous year in the sec. best ever imho for that league, in terms of overall quality and balance), that team went on to win another title in '08. there's a reason why we haven't seen a program go back to back, winning its league/finishing #1, in 20+ years w/nebraska. alabama has that same shot this year.

Ba( )Morin I think they CAN pull it off, but you never know with youngsters...Maybe ice-cold blood running thru their veins, or their performance under pressure could be ice-cold. But I'd like to see something done for the first time at OSU...Back to back, and Gate to Gate / start to finish #1. This is an opportunity. but it isn't just the kids that we have worry about choking at game time.
