thx for posting. excellent perspective on tress. Academic fraud, recruiting violations, took money from an agent, misled investigators, lied to the NCAA. 3 yearsmore perspective I noticed that as well, and I also noticed that the author is loose with his facts. He says John Blake had a show cause penalty while at Oklahoma. Not true. Blake left OU in 1998. His show cause came in 2012...for actions at North Carolina.
"John Blake – A former head coach at Oklahoma who, before being penalized, had been defensive line coach at North Carolina, Blake was forced to resign during an NCAA investigation into academic fraud and recruiting violations in the UNC program. The NCAA found that he had received personal loans from agent Gary Wichard and failed to report them to the university, and also misled investigators. On March 12, 2012, he received a three-year show-cause."

Immaterial, AFAIC. Those that don't use the link (and most wouldn't) will see John Blake, Oklahoma, 5-year show cause penalty. And that also assumes those clicking on the link will even notice the mistake. In any event, the reader is not the one required to fact check. It's the author, and in this case he was sloppy.

Off another board. I didn't check, but the guy is usually pretty reliable, and it sounds about right...
Best records last 5 seasons: tOSU, 61-5 - Bama, 63-6 - Clem, 58-9 - FSU, 58-9 - OU, 50-14.
