jeff was, and is, one of the good guys. his senior yr was my frosh yr at tosu, and since he was a journalism major and that was what I was exploring at the time (and would later major in), had a chance to be in some small groups where he was helping share what that curriculum was like, which was very cool since at the time not a lot of football players had that kind of role in academics. he was extremely well spoken and very passionate about diving deep into what was available on campus. he was also one of the quicker, faster guys I'd ever seen run the football, both at north canton hoover hs and then in college, in the mode of christian mccaffrey or jeff backes, who was a tailback at n'western who won a state title at upper arlington hs here, teaming w/simon fraser who played with the bucks on the '02 title team and later a few yrs w/the browns. both those guys ended up being doctors, btw. logan has done very well for himself in the financial svcs sector and yet has stayed connected w/both tosu and the local hs football scene. |
