A lot of gamblers lost their asses today, and there will be a huge rush on new TV's in alabama come Monday. I hope too many dogs don't get kicked or wives get beaten.

not sure a majority of bettors lost anything today on that game, since the line began the week at -24 and dropped to -22.5. certainly doesn't mean it wasn't a shocking result for those of us who didn't see the game, but vandy had the ball for over 42:00. tough to lose a game when that happens. |

Well, since I am not a bettor, you are probably right, and of course controlling the ball is a big part of winning, along with scoring more points than the other team..

having not lost to vandy in 40 yrs.... yeah probably a couple. lol. and yet, that loss-any 1st loss-is less damning than ever in the new world of cfb w/the 12 team playoff. the tide still controls its destiny in the sec west from a numbers standpoint. 'bama put up 35 pts while have the ball just 18:00, which frankly is amazing, what was more surprising is what vandy did the entire game on offense vs alabama's defense. |

Bama could not stop Vandy, like...AT ALL.
It was a dominant offensive show, and Vandy had just enough D to make it stand up.
As I watched, I got this feeling that it wasn't the teams as much as the game plan. All day, Bama's D just could not figure out what was coming next.
IMO, Bama was just plain outcoached.

The consensus preseason 'round here was roughly 9-3. That said, I certainly didn't expect to lose to Minny. |
