My 2 cents worth then I am outa here for a while. Kristi Noem: it would be my observation that the majority of the posters on here did not grow up on a farm or rural area. So...she shot an unruly, possibly untrainable dog. so what.
On the farm growing up, I witnessed my dad drown a whole litter of unwanted puppies, we shot tomcats that were killing kittens, we killed calves and pigs that were not normal. I have a son who shot a dog he raised from a pup because the dog lunged at and bit his wife. Putting down an animal is not unusual out here in rural America. How many of you are hunters, have you shot a rabbit, or a squirrel, or a pheasant or a coyote, raccoon, or trapped a muskrat or mink? Real hunters who have hunting dogs do not look at their dogs as pets, they are hunting tools and are in most cases not treated as a pet. So, if you have a problem with Noem killing a dog deemed to be unworthy, then some of you might also reconsider your position on abortion. Save a dog, but kill a baby. I think not.
