Wow. I made a statement that Arden Key won't play vs Notre Dame in the Citrus Bowl, and the thread deteriorates into Buckeye bashing.
Thanks to Mark for offering an explanation of why OSU and ND haven't played more often. I don't know how factual it is, but it makes sense to me. I was curious about the few games the teams have played against each other, and I'm OK with the explanation.
For the heck of it, I'll restate that I have nothing against Ohio State, and I can't stand Notre Dame.
For the record, I can't stand Notre Dame or Ohio State. Bucknut bashing is good no matter where it takes place. I'm surprised you knew you had a team board. Good on you.

Buckeye bashing is enjoyable for some, I suppose, but I'm not one of them. I think the history of LSU vs Ohio State speaks for itself. You can't be more even than 1-1-1. I wish the 2 teams would play more often.
I don't remember for sure, but I think I am the one who started the LSU team board, since I am the lone LSU fan here.

Neither Meyer nor Mullen interests me. I am more interested in Ohio State vs LSU on a regular basis than who the coaches might be. It's about the TEAMS, not the individuals who come and go.
Seems I was wrong about the establishment of the LSU board. Thanks for starting it.

With Mullen back in Gainesville, an Ohio State / Florida matchup seems like a no brainer. Well, more of a no brainer than it has been since 2012. Let's hope they can make it happen.

when was the last time LSU beat ND? 2006, 41-14. The last game was in 2014, and the Domers won by all of 3 points.
LSU's all time record vs ND is 5-6-0. This year will even things up.
3 points more will always win a game......just like this year.

3 points more will always win a game......just like this year. Yeah, and LSU left 6 points hanging in the stratosphere because the Tigers have lousy FG kickers. It didn't help that Arden Key and some key linebackers [pardon the pun] didn't play either, but that's part of the game. You gotta go with who you got.
ND did what they needed to do to win .......... LSU didn't. I have nothing really negative to say, except LSU didn't win. The offense should have played strong enough that they didn't need to rely on FG's. Congrats to ND for earning the win.
Fickle LSU fans will now be wanting Orgeron's head on a platter.

Well, next week it gets real. No overrated Miami to walk on, no proud Southeastern to struggle against, just a very good Auburn team to play in Jordan-Hare Stadium.
Joe Burrow is not a savior, as I suspected all along. He is a decent, steady, and mostly level-headed QB, which is the norm for LSU's better QB's.
Steve Ensminger has turned into a dang good play caller, and Dave Aranda is still one of the best DC's in college, but neither of them is down on the field executing --- or not, as the case may be.
Coach O is doing the best he can with what he has.
Bright spots --- LSU's FG kicker Cole Tracy, and former understudy RB Nick Brossette. Brossette won't make you forget Fournette or Guice, but he's a gamer.
The only question next week is ----- can LSU keep the score respectable in a loss to Auburn?

actually two questions. Can the receivers run the proper routes? can the receivers catch the ball? What looked like late throws in this last game was the receivers simply kinda running to where the lines are drawn on the chalk board show 'em where to run.

I don't coach LSU's WR's, and neither you nor I know how their routes are drawn up for each play. They don't appear to be the top quality receivers that LSU usually has, but I haven't seen them miss too many passes that are actually catchable. When the D disrupts a pass route, the receiver AND the QB must adapt.
LSU's offense is pretty much average at every position. Burrow will end up in the lower half of SEC QB rankings. The best LSU can hope for from him is that he doesn't make mistakes or panic.
Orgeron needs to work hard on recruiting real QB's to LSU.

[/div]
Dwayne Haskins 53 att, 44comp, 546 yards, 9 tds 1 int, qbr 229.4 you mean like that kind of real QB? helps to have a line, and receivers. TBs to move the ball to keep safeties up, receivers to catch the ball to keep the safeties back. And then smart enough to call a pass play when they're up, and a running play when they're back

I already told you LSU is pretty average this year, and maybe that will get one surprise win they shouldn't get. It's just been revealed that it was actually Doral Academy who LSU beat in Jerry's Joint to start the season.
LSU is not a very good team and they shouldn't even be playing in the SEC. After all, the SEC has defenses that can eat up Haskins. OSU beat a weak unranked Oregon State team, then took on even weaker pathetic Rutgers, who is even with Southeatern, except the SELA players had guts, desire and determination, even though they should have been blown off the field.
LSU does not have elite RB's or WR's like they usually do, and no LSU QB calls his own plays. He CAN check off if need be.
LSU's D will be the strong part that at least keeps us in a few games before the inevitable losses., but Joe Burrow hasn't seen anything like a REAL SEC defense in action yet, and combined with LSU's young and inexperienced O line, he is going to see more of those dominant SEC defenses than he wants to see.
Ed Orgeron is a horrible coach, and he should go back to USC where he needs a translator.
I will go ahead and pick LSU to lose every game in 2018 from here on out. That way if they screw up and actually WIN one, I can be pleasantly surprised.
Have I covered all the negative things you wanted to say about LSU, or should I go ahead and add that they would end the season as #12 or 13 in the Big 10 (14 if they could count) Conference?
What else can I do to help with all the LSU putdowns?

Orgeron finally threw his diplomat hat in the garbage today and said what we all know. The targeting call against Devin White was totally wrong.
He also knows that there is nothing he can do about it, but he appreciates the support LSU fans have shown to White and the Tigers. They have even taken over billboards in Birmingham. A pissed off Tiger is a dangerous Tiger.
