well, the bucks played better last night on offense (except for missing 5 straight 3's on their final possession trying to cut into a 4 pt deficit). just 1 turnover all game long, which for this club is amazing. shot 46+% from the field... decent. 8-23 from 3... which is deceiving because of those wild forced misses at the end of the game. but once again, in a key stretch after taking the lead w/about 7:00 left, tosu went ice cold for 4:00+ (0-6) which really hurt in the 75-71 loss to psu. plus the nitts couldn't miss... shooting 52% from the field and 53% from 3. sensabaugh and thornton both had good games in terms of points (20, 19) but sensabaugh still sat a lot in the 2nd half because of his defensive gaps imho. unfortunately mcneil picked a bad night to have a bad night (2-10, 1-8 on 3's). that's 14 losses in 15 games. illinois up next at home in the bucks' 3rd straight nationally broadcast sunday afternoon game. in the past 2 decades that's not been a gamble for the tv folks at all, but wonder how cbs is feeling about that this year?

The bright side is that we may have 3 schools from Ohio in the Big Dance___One of them may be Kent State....

well today was an easy ticket so went down to campus. nice to see not only tosu play a solid game, but they didn’t fold when the illini cut a 14 point lead down to 1 and 2. thornton’s best game as a buckeye, sensabaugh was effective on offense, sueing comes thru w 12 pts and 10 rebounds. 72-60. it starts w 1 win. illinois helped out a lot by playing sloppy and shooting worse in the first 20 min.
also, always cool to see the captains who returned for their annual luncheon. hated seeing jamaal brown not there… represented by his 2 sons. as expected dr. aaron craft got the biggest ovation w michael redd a close 2nd. captains dating back to ‘51 in attendance.

Headed down to campus for the season ending home game versus Maryland. Would love to see this team close out the home season on a winning note. I think the Terps are beatable.

By the way, three seniors playing their final home game, and none of the three began their college career here in Columbus. I think that’s a first for Ohio State.

I don’t think there’s even 10,000 here.
