You're right...you didn't ask me. I do it because I want to and because I put the effort into it, I get to make the rules. If you don't like it...the door is to the left.

I wasn't vile and personal about it until you basically demanded that I go out of my way to make sure that the picks were up by Tuesday at 8 and if I had stuff to do...then tough shit.

Well if that's your tone...then pardon me, but f-word you. It takes me a shitload longer to put it together than for you to make your picks...for that reason my convenience take precedent over yours. If I was putting up the slate at 3 on Thursday afternoon, you might have a point...but excuse me for only providing you with 24 hours on a site where just about everyone is on at least once a day...if not multiple times a day.

No it's that there's a long list of people that post on this message board and the Shit they say is never called out, never criticized and they are never attacked or called names, I have a small issue with a rule for a pick em contest and every acts like I killed their 1st born child and calls me names and tells me to kiss their ass. Are you serious? I have a problem with if my wife is in labor I have to tell to wait I have to make my picks or I'm going to have to take an 0-weekend. I have to take a timeout from a family emergency cause God forbid if I don't get my picks in by 8pm Thursday I lose all of them?

You still don't get it. I'm not demanding that you do anything. I'm telling you what the terms and conditions are for participating in the game that I set up and run on my own time without compensation.

If you don't want to adhere to the terms and conditions...don't play. I honestly don't care if you do or not. If you do...great...just play by the rules that I've set up. They aren't draconian. Hell they aren't even close to unfair.

...so I'm certainly confused how you think I drafted it on an effort to keep you from playing. I welcome anyone who wants to ante up and lay their sack on the table (and I specifically mean the ladies with that comment) to see who is the best. I want everyone to play and enjoy it. I also don't want to have to spend several hours each week trying to keep track of it all to where it isn't fun for me. Why does my enjoyment take a backseat to yours when I'm the one who is doing all the work?

If you don't want to play, don't. If you do, great...please participate. If you can't make your picks by 745 on Thursday nights after I post them on Wednesday...well....tough break. I guess we will just have to press on with 19.

That's why I said if you demanded that from us then I demand stuff from you. I mean really? You demand us get our picks in no matter the circumstances (wife in labor, daughter in labor, cut finger off etc...) but we can't demand anything from you?

That's been my issue the entire time.

Here's my thought, if I'm stuck at work and I don't get to make my pics, that is my problem. If there is a personal family emergency, than it's my problem. Games are posted on Tuesday or Wednesday, we pick by Thursday. No biggy.

Not like I'm losing any money or sleep over it, so why stress..

Wait....if you don't follow the rules here and go 0-12 one week this is going to somehow ruin your life? It's a friggin' game, dude. There's no money involved and it affects nothing beyond our ability to brag to a couple dozen other guys whom we've never actually met before about our picking prowess. Quit bitchin' and playing the victim here. Play the game or don't. Some guys talked about the rules, the Host of the game made some adjustments and if you don't like them just quit the game....it's not worth throwing a fit over. At least you can take comfort in knowing the you won't be the first to quit....Willie took care of that....nor will you have the lowest score if you do....thank Willie for that one too.

Is your wife pregnant? If so...I'll make a special rule that you can make your picks on Friday if she's in labor on Thursday afternoon due to your circumstances.

In fact...you're officially the only player in our game that has that special rule. Everyone else has to excuse themselves to the bathroom during the final push to make sure those picks are in...otherwise...goose egg.

See...now you're being treated better than everyone else. In fact....the finger rule doesn't apply to you either. Everyone else...try not to get blood on the keyboard.

I trust all of our other players to not riot over this new rules situation which we find ourselves in...
