funny you should mention that........in the two losses, Urban the Meyer didn't have anybody give dobbins the ball......see a trend? Well that I know about. Wisky coach, at the time, Anderson, a**hole supreme, may a hive of bees infest his colon, benched Flash Gordon for the second half in the first of two games w LSU, after he ran for over 100 yrds in the 1st half. Ended up losing a game Wisky dominated for almost 3 qtrs. And then there was a stellar game plan, which he gave to Tosu V Tosu, later that yr in Indy. since this is the wisconsin board, we can publicly talk about football in private....... This past NCG when Saban changed QBs mid stream was a true coaching move to win a game. Of all the losses that OSU has taken since meyer came on board, are on Meyer's shoulders. Clemenza for the most part knew how to win games. the ones he lost was due to (usually) simply superior talent across the LOS. Iowa vs OSU.....meyer was full of himself, the offense was full of them selves, especially JT following the twice down 18 to PSU to win the game. I'm not now, nor ever was a Urban fan. Though, it looks like it will be Wisconsin-V-OSU in Indy again this December.

should be a good game in Indy, featuring the top 2 TBs in the B1G. This yr we may have to hook up. (Wife though is talking about a 16 day trip down the coast from LA to the Southern tip of Chile around then.) If we don't before. Trying to talk some sense to a dealership in C-Bus about a older Lexus LS460 they have. I figure a cheap flight and a 7 hr drive home. BTW, still doing your Mother's Day party? I ask because although this is public we ARE talking privately.

I will be cooking next weekend for the wife's Bday, just not for the crowds that i used to. i try to keep it 50 or so. Which usually just covers her family and a few neighbors. Thinking a slab of new york strip, pork loins, shrimp/bacon kabobs. If you fly in, by all means stop by. I'm sure the wife has something palatable. I can spin some vinyl

www.jsonline.com/story/sports/college/uw/2018/05/24/uw-pittsburgh-agree-meet-football-2026-and-27/640379002/UW, Pitt agree to meet in football in 2026 in Madison and 2027 in PittsburghMADISON – University of Wisconsin officials announced Thursday they have reached an agreement to play Pittsburgh twice in football. UW is scheduled to host the Panthers on Sept. 19, 2026. Pittsburgh is scheduled to host UW on Sept. 11, 2027. Paul Chryst, an assistant at UW in 2002 and again from 2005-'11, took over the Pittsburgh program before the 2012 season. The Panthers went 19-19 in three seasons under Chryst, who returned to UW as head coach before the '15 season. UW is 34-7 in three seasons under Chryst, including 3-0 in bowl games. The teams have met three times – in 1937 at Pitt and in ’38 and ’67 in Madison. Pitt has won all three meetings. The games against Pittsburgh are the Badgers’ first known nonconference games for the 2026 and ’27 seasons.

Where the Wisconsin offense stands after three big recruiting weekends
Recruiting comes in streaks and tangles where you feel the world is going to end and all you want to do is yell at teenagers on Twitter. Luckily, right now the Badgers are very much in the former. And as it goes, plenty of dominoes should continue to fall in the next couple of weeks. I’m here to give you a quick guide on what happened and what to look for.
Quarterback Graham Mertz is locked in to being a Badger. This means the Badgers got in on a quarterback early, watched him become a top-four pro-style quarterback (sixth-ranked if you include the dual-threats), and were able to hold on despite most everyone outside of Oklahoma sniffing around and seeing if they could flip him. Getting a five-star offensive tackle out of Michigan is a very nice win, but this just might be more impressive.
Running Back While the Badgers had been sniffing around a second running back during the recruiting process—and with them cooling on a running back like Patrick Garwo and Julius Davis locked in despite overtures from programs like Notre Dame and USC—I would not expect Wisconsin to grab another at this point. Sure, four-star running back Zach Charbonnet out of Westlake Village, Calif., still has mutual interest and is a running back that the Badgers would take, but with warm interest in Michigan, UCLA, USC, and Washington, commitment would be a strong pull.
Wide Receiver Interestingly, the Badgers might be done here as well. With them locked in with three other cornerbacks, Mount Holly, N.C., three-star athlete Marcus Graham looks like he’s going to start at wide receiver. He’s definitely someone with the ability to create space for himself and make plays after the catch, but with Aron Cruickshank already looking like someone with star quality and the top four at the position looking trustworthy at worst, you do not have to land a second receiver to have the positional need filled.
Tight End The Badgers are very much in play to grab themselves a second tight end, which seems to be just fine with Hayden Rucci. After all, the Badgers love to use multiple tight ends in game situations. The dream candidate is 247Sports composite No. 1 tight end Hudson Henry, who put Wisconsin in his top five. But with in-state Arkansas and Stanford considered “warmer,” it’s another recruiting battle the Badgers have to win.
There’s also Erick All, a three-star tight end out of Fairfield, Ohio, who would probably slot in as an H-back, move tight end type as he’s currently listed at 6’4 and 225 pounds. He’s also a very nice second-level blocker with great athleticism. The race isn’t going to be over soon for All, as schools like Florida State and Michigan made offers after Wisconsin, but the Badgers are definitely in this to the end. If not, they have Rucci. He’s a great prospect.
Offensive line The Badgers haven’t added a new prospect yet, but when your first two commits are Logan Brown and Joe Tippmann, the foundation for an all-time class is already there. The targets remaining for the other two spots have become quite clear.
No. 1 is the big four-star right tackle from Lakeville, Minn., Bryce Benhart. He visited the weekend of June 8 and he has all the time he needs while the Badgers maintain favorite status. No. 1a is Jake Hornibrook. Yes, he is Alex’s brother, but the three-star earned offers from Stanford, Oregon, Clemson, and Tennessee before Wisconsin made its move. It seems like a two-horse race between Stanford and Wisconsin to earn his services.
If the Badgers miss on one, the options are wide open. There’s a known in-state prospect like Oconomowoc’s Leif Engstrand. There’s a prospect out of South Dakota with a tremendous highlight reel in Sioux Falls three-star Grant Treiber. There’s always the guy I don’t know about from a town of 1,200 in northern Wisconsin who turns out to be a pro prospect. The class is far from complete, but it is in very much great shape.

Y'all have snuck in here and pulled a few good ones out of the state. Honestly, you can thank Ann Harbaugh for that. You're getting ones that meat used to steal.

Getting a 5* OT from Meat says where tall, athletic, talented OL might want to consider to advance their athletic career. Finally getting past that asshole that moved on to OSU, and I don't mean TOSU.

For what it’s worth, Wisconsin currently is favored in the 247Sports Crystal Ball predictions, with the Badgers receiving six votes coming at the end of June. That was before Johnson was offered by the Longhorns on July 27.

Although not affiliated with the school anymore regarding athletics, I still make a good portion of their games. DeSales doesn't recruit kids, it doesn't have to. Parents who want their kids to get a great education, and participate at a high level in sports do what they can to get their kids into one of the 4-5 catholic schools. Quite a few past OSU star athletes have passed their kids through there. The "dummies" will carry a 3.7GPA. In Columbus Public that would be a 6.2GPA on a 4 point scale.

www.buckys5thquarter.com/2018/12/5/18127421/wisconsin-football-all-america-teams-jonathan-taylor-michael-deiterMultiple Badgers receive postseason All-America accolades Spoiler alert: Jonathan Taylor was one of them By Drew Hamm Dec 5, 2018, 1:27pm CST ‘Tis the season for gift giving, peppermint lattes, gaudy Christmas light displays by your neighbors and All-American team announcements by a myriad of media outlets. Despite a disappointing season overall, the Wisconsin Badgers are well represented on these lists so far. In fact, the Big Ten as a conference have players littered throughout these lists in all three phases (#PuntToWin). The Athletic released their first and second All-America teams ($) today and the nation’s leading rusher Jonathan Taylor and the Big Ten’s best offensive lineman Michael Dieter represented Wisconsin on the first team. Taylor, who has rushed for 1,989 yards (7.1 yards per carry) and 15 touchdowns, should probably get used to graciously accepting these postseason honors. Dieter is in the same boat as Taylor in terms of graciously accepting postseason awards, and should routinely find his name listed amongst the top offensive linemen in the nation. Pro Football Focus also released their All-America teams today and surprise, surprise Taylor was the first running back listed. This time, however, THREE Badgers’ o-linemen made the list. Redshirt sophomore center Tyler Biadasz and redshirt senior guard Beau Benzschawel were also named to the first team, while the aforementioned Dieter was an honorable mention guard. Redshirt senior inside linebacker T.J. Edwards must have offended someone as I couldn’t find his name listed anywhere on either website’s list. Smdh. According to PFF’s grades, Biadasz was the best run blocking center in the country and Benzschawel was the second best run blocking guard in the country. No wonder Taylor rushed for so many danged yards this season. Other notable Big Ten honorees include Michigan’s Devin Bush (linebacker), B1G Roast Crush and Purdue’s Rondale Moore (returner), Michigan State’s Kenny Willekes (defensive end), who were all first-team selections for The Athletic Ohio State punter Drue Chrisman was on The Athletic’s second-team and Iowa’s Amani Hooker (FLEX) claimed a first-team selection for PFF.
