Same as the 581. Then again your Tactical has a shorter barrel than Fred's waterlogged Ranch so yours will not be as accurate at reaching out and touching steel or organic matter at distance. I like the wood stocks and maybe one day I'll get one. I doubt seriously that a 2" difference in barrel length will make a difference in a rifle, other than muzzle velocity if you use a slow burning powder. I also don't like those little fake gas tubes that some people add to their guns, but to each his own. A Mini-14 will never be an M-14, no matter what you do to it.That's a fine rifle, but I can take my Marlin model 60 and a couple hundred rounds off into the woods and feed myself and maybe one or two others for a month or two. Don't need no stinkin' Walmart. RAC'IST: noun; 1.Someone who wins an argument with a liberal.

A Mini-14 will never be an M-14, no matter what you do to it. Wanna race for pink slips?

Fred and Dad bought this baby at K-Mart in 1972.

The stock is actually dinged up pretty good. Fred did a number on it with Renaissance Wax which is why it looks good in the pic. Up close you'd notice the character.

Had mine for a few years now and it's very accurate way out past 100 yards. Perfect for small game. RAC'IST: noun; 1.Someone who wins an argument with a liberal.

The one I have dates from the mid 60's. They were only made from 1964 - 1978, and IIRC, only about 150,000 of them were made. They still aren't very valuable. Mine is in excellent condition, and would only bring about $300 on the market. It's worth more sentimentally to me.

Very fun to plink with. Probably put a thousand or more rounds through it and nary a problem. For small game or even for home defense, highly recommend. Ten or more rounds coming at the bad guy(s) is going to make his day very bad very fast. RAC'IST: noun; 1.Someone who wins an argument with a liberal.

RAC'IST: noun; 1.Someone who wins an argument with a liberal. I'd still choose a .45ACP, .45 Colt, or .44 Special handgun over any rifle for in the home use. A big bullet with a nice punch, but still not so powerful you have to worry about overpenetration, and you can use it with one hand.

Looking at my G43 as we speak. RAC'IST: noun; 1.Someone who wins an argument with a liberal.

It's OK, but the caliber doesn't start with a 4. Now, THIS G-43 is potent.........

Back to Fred's support of the Holy Land, who wouldn't let him board at Ben Gurion because they thought he was "suspicious"... by Anonymous - 2016-12-14 07:43 Best shooting most accurate 556 ammo I have ever shot by boom man - 2016-11-05 21:54 Excellent ammunition. Shot some 55 GR IMI for comparison tightened up groups by approximately half. Will definitely buy more. by Anonymous - 2016-10-11 18:18 OK, so I bought 500rnds of this from SG. Truely awesome ammo. My groups tightened up to 1/2 of what they were at 200yds compared to anything else. I stock 900 rds each of M855, MK318, MK262,(all real or clones, no Xm stuff) and sometimes some crap 223/55 I let the nephew shoot. Ordering another 500 of this right now to come close to topping up. Life is good! On a side note,,, after much research about IMI and the ammo they make for other companies, like the Federal Independance XM193i, (just to name one round), the consenses is that IMI loads a bit hotter and use a bit thinner brass. Not so much as to be dangerous or any kind of deterent for using or reloading. Its just a tiny bit difference as measured. by Anonymous - 2016-09-27 19:35 I've shot a couple boxes of this stuff through my 16" AR and really like it. I just ordered a 24" 1/7 upper this morning and plan to sight it in with this stuff for long range shooting. by voyager - 2016-09-26 22:57 This is some of the absolute best made ammo in 5.56; especially for the price compared to MK 262. Highly highly recommended. by redfox0311 - 2016-08-19 17:57 Let's just say that I bought 2000 rounds of this stuff for a reason. I love this ammo!!
