Sometimes your babbling makes sense. It took Jarmond getting a promotion to Boston College before he was willing to open up about tOSU's scheduling philosophy. It's my contention he was making excuses for ducking top tier SEC and FSU rather than being honest. I've been on to this tOSU ducking top tier SEC and FSU for several years now much to the consternation of you bucknuts.

Another pissing match, cool.
For the record, I would love to play an SEC team every year if we could.
If what he says is true, saying it is Ohio State's decision alone makes no sense given the large alumni bases and regular recruiting trips made to SEC states. That brings into play the "two to tango" comment that seems to be ignored here in this thread.
Look no further than the state of Florida where we have a huge alumni base and recruit heavily year in and year out. That nixes those two reasons leaving only the "two to tango" comment as to why the Buckeyes and Gators aren't playing a home and home.
And yes, I fully expect that to fall on deaf ears...

The two to tango comment was by the writer of the article, not Jarmond. The quotes by Jarmond don't give any reason to think it's a two to tango situation. tOSU's scheduling is a one-way commitment to play games anywhere except top tier SEC and FSU. Just a hunch, if Urban Meyer wanted a season opening game, TCU is just another likely win for the tOSU, or home and home with top tier SEC or FSU, he can have it. With that said, I'll believe it when I see it. It does take two to tango. It's clear tOSU has no intention to dance the tango.

Recruiting and lack of alumni bases in the southeast are the excuses, not the reason. Oklahoma doesn't recruit Oklahoma, they go to Texas and elsewhere. Oregon and Washington aren't known for their recruiting bases. Where does tOSU have a huge alumni base? Florida. Which state has the 3rd most FBS D1 recruits in the nation? Florida. Games at UF would be shown in the state of Florida and throughout the southeast, probably nationwide. The same can be said for at FSU. The reason the bucknuts don't play top tier SEC and FSU is they know their chance of winning these games are less than if they went elsewhere. It's all about scheduling games the bucknuts think they have a better chance of winning. A couple of years ago, the AD at LSU said he had a problem scheduling top BIG teams as they didn't want to come south and be spanked on their opponents home field. After last season, we know it wasn't Wisky he was talking about. They at least scheduled a neutral site game in Green Bay with LSU. JMHO, he was talking about tOSU. This article confirms what I have been saying about the bucknuts ducking top tier SEC and FSU. To put it more bluntly, the bucknuts are chickenshit when it comes to top tier SEC teams and FSU. Look what you've done cbisbig. You have released the 4 bucknut horsemen of the apocalypse by finding an article that exposes tOSU for what it really is, a fraud to their claim of playing anyone nationally. A fraud? Scheduling USC, Miami, Notre Dame and Oklahoma shows me OSU isnt ducking anyone. The Deputy Director stated his reasons regarding recruiting__The LSU stated he had a problem scheduling big ten teams yet had Wisky on the schedule, so I would take that with a grain of salt. ET__lay off the sec kool-aid, its spiked.

The Deputy Director stated his reasons regarding recruiting__The LSU stated he had a problem scheduling big ten teams yet had Wisky on the schedule, so I would take that with a grain of salt. ET__lay off the sec kool-aid, its spiked.tOSU has played exactly 1 away game, non-bowl and non-neutral site, at a top tier SEC team since the start of the modern era in 1964. I'd be okay with that except you bucknuts continue to claim tOSU travels anywhere to play anybody when that has been proven to be false. The following are all of tOSU's away ooc games since the start of the modern era in 1964: cfbtrivia.com/cfbt_detail.php?teamname=Ohio%20St.&fry=1964&thy=2016&teamname=Ohio%20St.&ncnf=on&away=on&nbowl=on&oppview=1&jrc=on&altout=98&cres=1&scrview=1&tview=4&jpl=onActually, tOSU hasn't played away games with SEC teams dating back to 1933 when the SEC was formed either. Again, I'm okay with that, but quit the we travel anywhere to play anybody crap. tOSU has never traveled to FSU either. That's after FSU went to Columbus twice without getting a return engagement. A few years back, bucknuts here were condescending about UF's schedule because the nolies appeared to be down. That proved to be a crock of shit. I want to see tOSU play in Tallahassee too. 1991 keeps being brought up as if it's a scarlet letter for UF. It's not. JMHO, having played in the SEC, played FSU every year, and Miami in some years has been good enough. I do want a replacement for Miami in the future, but UF has never billed itself as a we will travel anywhere to play anybody program. UF has always primarily been a regional program. Deflection to what you perceive to be a UF scheduling issue doesn't compute with the introduction of this article.

Who the hell would want to dance in Gainesville knowing there isn't a return engagement? Especially when the gate-split is close to 20k less people... As I said, if Urban Meyer wants a home and home with UF, I'd bet it can be arranged. UF gives out 5,000 tickets in a stadium that holds up to 92,000. However, there are always a few scalped tickets that can be had if Gator fans don't beat the bucknuts to them. Putting 87,000 Gators in The Swamp is routine.

Wow the 1960's__Southern schools avoided scheduling OSU in the 1960's.__Woody had too many black players for their liking. Personally, as a fan__ It would be awesome to have LSU, UF, or UA scheduled at an 8pm slot on a saturday night in October no matter where its played.

So the question is where was Jarmond's head when the interview was supposedly conducted? Nice attempt to skirt the issue of not leaving home since 1991, though...nice try. You can't be referring to BAMA because that would be a false statement. As I posted earlier, BAMA went to Happy Valley in 2010 and Psu returned the favor in 2011. As far as "Jarmonds head", are you suggesting he is making this up?

Don't take his bait. PS...WOOPS, I see the cause here. I thought your response to Bam was an et response to bam...sorry. But the 1991 reference is obviously a Gator thing, when they last left the home area to get their butts beat in Syracuse. As far as jarmond, I never heard of the guy before reading this thread. Zero knowledge of him, & as I said, no dates in the links, and you know there was some kind of negotiations going on before the announcement.
