Gators get the overall #2 seed in the NCAA tourney: who is #1 :-) I expect UF to be in the Final. UF owes PSU payback from having lost to the lions a few years back in the tourney. As I recall, UF was the higher seed that season. JMHO, this is the best team UF has ever put on the court and there have been some good ones. It would be a treat for #2 to take out #1. Two SEC teams in the top 4 seeds shows the SEC has finally come of age as a conference. It was bound to happen sooner or later. |

Maybe we will get that rematch vs UF in the final 4. #5 seed Nebraska just won at #4 seed Kentucky 3-1 to get there. Nebraska will have to get by 1 seed Penn State first. From what I watched last night, that will be a tall order for anybody. Florida will have to get by 3 seed Stanford who beat Texas. No doubt that beating Penn St is a tall order. They only lost once all season. At home to Nebraska. Beating them 2x in one season is going to be extremely difficult. Too bad the two B1G teams play now. On the other hand one B1G team will be in the final. Lots of good to great teams this year. Florida vs. Stanford will be a great matchup too.

It's #2 seed UF vs. #3 seed Stanford at 9 PM EST on Thursday in the Final Four. Like in women's tennis, this could be a start to another rivalry with Stanford. The Cardinal leads the Gators 6-4 all time including 3-0 in the NCAA tournament.
At 7 PM EST, #1 seed Penn State faces off with #5 seed Nebraska.
In previous matchups this season of the Final Four teams, UF has a win over UNL, UNL has a win over PSU, and PSU has two wins over Stanford. Of course, it's a clean slate in Kansas City.
