The Pietta 1858 Remington replica shown in the video is the same gun I have. Pietta should be a familiar name to gun nuts. Think "Pietta Beretta." I don't own a replica of a Colt 1860 revolver, but I'm sure it is the same dirty fun to shoot.
I me myself personally prefer the Remington for two reasons: It has a solid top strap frame, and you don't have to tear the gun apart to load a spare cylinder. Rapid reloading is impossible with one of these things, and the fastest way to do it is by putting in a fresh loaded cylinder, which is what the old cowboys and soldiers did.
These rascals are cheap to buy and shoot, just as deadly as a centerfire at a reasonable range, surprisingly accurate, and you can buy one shipped straight to your house. NO FFL, background check, or any other onerous restriction on your freedom required.
If you are looking for something different to play with, that is not a boringly simple centerfire or rimfire gun, try out a black powder gun! WARNING: These are not small guns and acquiring and shooting them can become addictive! There's just a certain thrill that I get in traveling back in time to a period when our nation was expanding, and I can experience a little of that excitement. And you learn why the old timers didn't spray and pray. 5 or 6 shots were ALL you were gonna get, unless you had excellent cover and had practiced a fast cylinder swap.
There are also black powder hunting seasons for the hunters who want to extend their seasons.
P.S. Wanna kill someone and get away with it? Use one of these. The cops will go apeshit trying to figure out what was used and who owns it.

Glad to see you remembered the smiley face. LOL Anyway, that's all fine and dandy if you have the time to 'play' with guns, but I don't. When I pull a weapon, that is made to take a human life, and fire, I do it with the utmost seriousness and skill that I can safely do so in a quick fashion. Two shot placements, center of mass, four shot groups, center of mass. Standing, knelling, one-handed, left-handed. still target, moving target. Sideways, coming straight at me. Single and two head shots. All done with G19 and G43. Occasionally will bring out the G27. Often times will sprint 50 yards , then pull and fire. Or 25 push-ups, then pull and fire. Ten burpees, then pull and fire. I realize you will most likely ridicule all this and that's fine but if or when that 'moment of truth' comes, there won't be any hesitation or doubt. There will only be pull , aim and fire. and it will be done faster than you can swat a shuttlecock.

This thread is about RECREATION, not wanting to kill someone, despite my tongue in cheek final comment. And I don't really need a smiley face. Mentally stable people KNOW I am joking.
You still don't understand what "playing with guns" means to an adult. Too bad. All you want to do is SHOOT A PERSON. It's all you talk about. You shouldn't be allowed to own a gun. You give good gun owners a bad name. I'd suggest some mental counseling for you. You aren't impressing anyone. You are making yourself look weak and paranoid.
Your Glocks and your dumbass attitude don't belong in this thread. Was there something you would like to say about your interest in black powder firearms?

Guess that blows your 'theory' of 'all I want to do is shoot a person' right out of the water. I do believe you mentioned something about your 'toy' being as 'DEADLY as a centerfire at a reasonable range'... doesn't sound like something anyone should be PLAYING with. Stick a smiley face next to THAT, dumbass. and no , I have zero interest in black powder. but please, continue playing with firearms. Now take a smoke break.

Yes, firearms ARE deadly, if you mishandle them. That's a fact.
Yes, I play with my firearms. Playing = entertainment = fun. You are confusing playing with mishandling. If you aren't having fun when you shoot, you are missing most of the reason for owning guns. Your dumb little regimen you described is good for only one thing ------- getting better at shooting PEOPLE. You even admitted it yourself: "When I pull a weapon, that is made to take a human life, and fire, I do it with the utmost seriousness and skill that I can safely do so in a quick fashion. Two shot placements, center of mass, four shot groups, center of mass. Standing, knelling, one-handed, left-handed. still target, moving target. Sideways, coming straight at me. Mutt, can you do the finger twirl with your black powder relic like in the old westerns? Nope, I've never tried. The 1858 Remington isn't balanced for that. I've tried with my 4.75" Peacemaker (SNAP CAPS IN THE CHAMBERS), but I just can't get the hang of it. I never really saw the purpose of it, and I'm sure the real old timers didn't either. I've never tried quick-drawing, and "fanning" a SA revolver is a good way to break it unless the innards have been modified.
Just like the low gunslinger rigs, I imagine gun twirling is a Hollyweird invention. Most cowboys wore their guns up high in full coverage holsters to protect them from damage. The old walkdown in the middle of the street with the fast draw deal didn't happen, either.
Look how Wild Bill Hickock and Jesse James died. Both ambushed from behind. The glamour is pure bullshit.

blah, blah, blah, blah blah blah blah
That is seriously sick.
When we go to the range we practice different scenarios. For different situations. We just don't stand there like a robot and plunk away. You might, but capable and sensible people take the pulling of a firearm to defend themselves very serious. We go to the range once, sometimes twice a month. We don't waste ammo but we do mix it up so as not to fall into any bad habits. Again, firearms are very serious business and not to be taken lightly or played with as you do. I hope and pray I don't ever 'get the chance' , as YOU so mistakenly put it, to take some criminal's life. But you can bet your stringy hair that if it comes down to the criminal's life or my life or another innocent's life, I will. Hey been meaning to ask you, do you smoke while practicing your kung fu..?.. if so, be careful, don't burn yourself.

Hey been meaning to ask you, do you smoke while practicing your kung fu..?.. if so, be careful, don't burn yourself. 1. There is more to shooting guns than practicing killing people, which you still admit is all you do.
2. You STILL don't understand what "playing with guns means." Playing = recreation. Show me where I have said ONCE that I used imporper or dangerous gun handling techniques. You can't because you are FOS.
3. I spent 27 YEARS putting myself in situations where I might have to use my gun, 12 hours a day. I have been in those situations a lot. In some of them I didn't have to draw, in others I drew but didn't have to shoot.
4. You make no mention of having learned proper defensive tactics. There is more to using a gun for protection than drawing and shooting it.
5. You don't seem to understand that real life experience beats armchair expertise EVERY TIME. All your tumbling and running can NOT prepare you for the fear and adrenaline rush that comes in a do-or-die scenario.
6. I don't do Kung Fu. And Bruce Lee was pissed that the producers passed over an Asian to play an Asian in a TV show. But to answer your question, I don't even think about smoking when I am practicing taekwondo. You should prepare yourself for most real life situations and learn a martial art. You can't take your precious little 9MM's everywhere you go.
7. Most importantly ................. you don't know what you are talking about and you have a terrible attitude about guns.
