because your ammo buying opportunities are about to disappear... The price you pay for a communist/socialist/liberal government. Oh wait... Walt... burningbraincells... I guess I'm talking to myself and those two are happy as larks because they think they just became a lot safer.

The only difference is that law-abiding citizens will pay a lot more for ammunition that is legally obtained. Congrats on accomplishing absolutely nothing other than being less free.

Care to tell those of us who aren't Californicators what this is all about? As of 1-1-18 no more direct internet or mail order purchases. All ammo will have to be bought from licensed dealers and include a background check same as when buying a firearm. I believe you can still purchase out of state but it has to be shipped to an FFL in CA. Typical CA FFL's charge $75-$100 to do a transfer, plus you get to pay CA sales tax on the purchase, plus you get to pay the $25 for a background check. Don't worry, when Gavin Newsome is elected gov after Moonbeam's term is up they'll really ratchet it up. ALL semi's will be redesignated as assault weapons. Walt and brainedbush could not be more pleased I'm sure.

I've never heard of paying a fee for a background check. Our FFL holders charge $25 to receive a gun for you.
You need to put that shitty anti-America, pro-criminal invader state in your rearview mirror.

We'll get the daughter through high school and off to college then leave this beautiful state f u cked over by liberalism to continue circling the bowl. It's truly sad what they've done to CA. Don't worry, Walt... we won't let the door hit us on the ass as we leave.

Don't worry, Walt... we won't let the door hit us on the ass as we leave. I have a feeling that sporting goods and gun stores close to the Commiefornia border in AZ, NV and OR will soon see a large increase in ammo sales to people driving cars with CA license plates. You may see an increase in CA drivers in those areas obeying all the traffic laws as well.
Make sure every external light on your car is working. Make sure your license plate is easily readable at any distance. Use your turn signal for every change of direction, even all lane changes. No need to say that you obey the speed limit.Cop who stops you: "You were speeding 70 in a 60 zone. License, registration and insurance, please." You: " I was speeding? I'm sorry officer, my cruise control must not be working right" .. or " Sorry, I guess I let my concentration slip. Here's everything you asked for."Cop "Where are you coming from?" You: [Pointing behind you] "Back there."Cop: "Can you be more specific." You: "There's no reason for me to." Cop "Where are you going?" You: [Pointing ahead of you] "That way."Cop: "Can you be more specific." You: "There's no reason for me to."
Cop: "Who are your passengers?" You "They weren't driving, so who they are is irrelevant.Cop: "Do you have guns or drugs in your vehicle?" You: [Depending on the state's gun laws] "I don't need to answer that. Are you accusing me of being a criminal? Based on what?"Cop: "I'd like to search your car for my safety (or other bullshit excuse)." You: "You are perfectly safe right now, no one in this car wants to harm you. No I do NOT consent to an illegal search with no probable cause, without a warrant. Please, if you are going to write me a speeding ticket, can you go ahead and write it so we can both be on our way?
NEVER give a cop permission to search.

So much winning. California will be so much greater next week. You serious? You truly believe this law is a good thing? Care to explain why? because criminals won't be able to legally purchase ammo now.......which means they will illegally purchase ammo now. And illegally purchased ammo isn't an issue. ........you couldn't figure this out? The liberal playbook isn't written in greek, it just reads like it.

All these anti-gun laws make it EASIER for criminals, not harder. Liberals are very compassionate souls towards criminals and illegal aliens because, well, breaking the law is a good thing. I think I've got it!

So much winning. California will be so much greater next week. You serious? You truly believe this law is a good thing? Care to explain why? Mostly because it pissed you off, but also because it begins to tighten the availability of who can easily and legally obtain bullets, and like taxing cigarettes, is aimed at economic dissuasion. In addition, there's a pretty simple concept about it that you are too blind to admit. If a person isn't legally entitled to possess a gun, for what reason would they need bullets? Can't be a good reason, can it? So, if you are against felons possessing guns, why are you okay with them possessing bullets?

Mostly because it pissed you off, but also because it begins to tighten the availability of who can easily and legally obtain bullets, and like taxing cigarettes, is aimed at economic dissuasion. No, taxing is not aimed at dissuasion. Taxing is aimed at getting your money. Don't act stupidly. In addition, there's a pretty simple concept about it that you are too blind to admit. If a person isn't legally entitled to possess a gun, for what reason would they need bullets? Can't be a good reason, can it? What about if they have a bunch of brass, primers, and smokeless powder? That would be one reason for needing bullets so they could assemble cartridges. So, if you are against felons possessing guns, why are you okay with them possessing bullets? For the same reason which is nothing prevents them from possessing guns. Felons don't obey laws, remember? Based on your response above I have to conclude that you are fully against poor people protecting themselves with a gun and ammunition.
