Okay....last night I made a killer recipe of shrimp in a cream sauce jacked up with chorizo, onion, cilantro, tomato, lemon juice and sriracha. Put the thing, according to the recipe over a plate of grits.
It was pretty good, although I'm going to have to tweek the recipe a bit next time....too much lemon juice for my taste..
The grits were made with milk instead of water, and had added cream at the end of the process, along with parmesan cheese.
Not exactly the healthiest dinner I ever made, but hey...it's the weekend.
Anyway, I thought...hmmm.....grits can be made with all kinds of base liquids and with all kinds of interesting additions, I wonder if the board has any favs?
So, do ya....punk?

Grits, no matter how you cook them, are pretty bad. I guess grits are typically a southern thing. Though i have lived the majority of my life in the south, I was introduced to grits by a Chippawa(sp) family from Minnesota.where I grew up in NY.I loved them butter salt and pepper is the way I always eat em.
