None of those things involved making money, but you seem to think making money is your only mark of success. All the things you mentioned, hard work, following the rules, honesty, etc., are what defines success. Without them, we have people that lie, cheat, steal, and use dishonest methods to make money. Hardly my idea of being a success....and we call those politicians democrats. |

Nothing wrong w him desiring what’s his focus and his outlet for fun. Making, saving and giving are part of mine. Never suggested it should be his. Nor do I care if he disagrees w my interests. Don't get me wrong. I am not in any way saying making money is a bad idea. My point was only that any discussion about just about anything seems to get distilled down to, "what's in it for me." Climate change? How can I make money? Taxes? How can I make money? Voting rights? How can I make money? Cure cancer? How can I make money? Pollution? How can I make money? Abortion? How can I make money? Illegal immigration? How can I make money? I am exaggerating of course but that is what it seems like anytime a topic comes up. So I wondered aloud if there was ANYTHING out there where you say, "Damn the money! Don't care how much it costs. Absolutely not!" or conversely, "Money doesn't matter. We need to do it!". IOW, what drives you apart from money? Climate change is bullshit, but unscrupulous businesses are making money off of it, by trying to force shit on us that we don't need, at ridiculous prices. I can make money on taxes by making sure that I keep government's hands off my wallet as much as possible.
Everyone already has voting rights. I can make my money by being an Uber driver during a state's voting period, which is always more than one day.
The person who figures out to cure all cancers will make a LOT of money. Pollution? Invent bogus shit that doesn't work, but convince Demonrats to buy it anyway. Abortion? Thousands of doctors, nurses, etc. are making money by murdering babies. Illegal immigration? The drug cartels and Mexican mules are making a LOT of money off it. Americans are LOSING money.
