Back to back walk-off home runs vs the Twins!!! Hell yeah they’ve bounced back from the slump they went into in july. 16-8 since late july heading into tonite’s game vs chisox. 10 of the last 13, allowing just 30 total runs in those 13 games and giving up more than 4 in just 1 game. old school ball; pitching, combining hits w/speed and smart base running to make up for their lack of power. it’s been a surprisingly fun year. |

Bieber pitched well last night even though he took the loss...bullpen was solid once again in the 2-0 loss. I would like the bats to wake up and score 10-12 runs in a couple of games. The Twins are playing mediocre baseball right now...I see the Tribe winning the division now |

tribe has now won 12 of 16 after completing a 2 game sweep of the padres, 7-0. ramirez hits 2 dingers in his first 2 at bats, gonzalez hit a mammoth shot to the 2nd deck in left, and quantrill goes 7 shutout innings. cleveland hasn’t lost a game he’s started since early july and they’re now 10 games over .500. the odds of them getting past the yanks or astros are pretty long if they make the post season but this club is so much damn fun to watch play.

tribe has now won 12 of 16 after completing a 2 game sweep of the padres, 7-0. ramirez hits 2 dingers in his first 2 at bats, gonzalez hit a mammoth shot to the 2nd deck in left, and quantrill goes 7 shutout innings. cleveland hasn’t lost a game he’s started since early july and they’re now 10 games over .500. the odds of them getting past the yanks or astros are pretty long if they make the post season but this club is so much damn fun to watch play.
Absolutely, these guys are fun to watch__They are now 4 games up on the Twins with 7 games yet to be played with them. Tito has them once again playing their best ball at the end of the season. Props to him for overcoming his ailments and making the Guardians contenders. |

well I've about had my fill of seeing the mariners. lol. guardiacs have won just 2 of their last 9, 1-6 vs seattle pending today's outcome which is in a rain delay, and the bats have been all wet. 1 run in the last 4 games, been shutout 4 times in the last 6 games, and just 13 runs scored in this 9 game slump. in 6 of the 9 latest losses, cleveland pitching has allowed 4/less runs, you shouldn't be 2-7 in that scenario. still in first by a game over the twins, and by 2 over the suddenly surging white sox, but the young talent on this club needs to get back to hitting to their potential to keep the post season in sight.

I know clase has been so consistently good this season you forget he can have a bad night or two, and wednesday night was a bad night. started out w/10 balls and just 1 strike opening the 9th, which led kc to getting 2 runs and walking off a 2-1 win. of course, tough to defend the offense putting up just 1. despite going 4-9 the past 2 weeks, the tribe still own a 1.5 game lead over the twins and white sox. after the weekend series w/minnesota (need to take 2 out of 3), you've got 3 w/the angels, a make up game w/chicago thursday, then a 5 game series in the twin cities (friday, doubleheader saturday, sunday, monday) followed by 3 more w/the sox in chicago. cleveland finishes the season w/3 in texas, 3 w/the rays at home (uh oh)and 6 straight games w/the royals in cleveland. whew. you hope one good thing is that 18 of the last 27 games are at home. the bad thing is that beginning today they'll be playing 18 games over 17 days this late in the season, w/2 starters (plesac, civale) still on the injured list. relying on even more young arms to go along w/the young bats that have hit a road block in the dog days. you've got 14 games w/the division challengers. go 5-3 vs the twins and 4-2 vs the sox... 7-6 vs the rest, that's 86-76, which should be good enough in the central. wouldn't it?  |

Well the G-men broke out the bats in the 1st inning to a 4-0 lead behind Gonzo's 3 run blast ... actually got to 7-0, oscar going deep twice, 4-5 w 5 rbi’s. and they nearly blew the entire lead. held on, clase comes back w a clean 9th and the guards win game 1 7-6. |

I’m in nashville til thursday this week, and my sister calls me screaming ‘did you see that?’ had no clue what she was talking about, then she went thru the entire episode. yeah very out of character for tito. back to 10 games over .500. take 3 out of 5 vs the twins and they should be out of the race. just need to play well vs chisox |

Yep...last night the Guards took a 4-0 lead and held on 5-4....I never saw Tito go off like that to an ump...3 games up on the White Sox....Twins are fading. Cleveland has 3 games in Chicago next week. would be nice to extend to 4 or 5 games up and another win tonite. 3-1 vs angels. gonzalez gets his 8th dinger of the season (3rd in a week?) for the game winning runs, and an impressive pitching by committee effort.
