Tom Hamilton's call of the Jose Ramirez-Tim Anderson fight on Cleveland radio is the stuff of legend.

The White Sox player stirred up some crap in the 4th inning that carried over into the 6th inning....Jose was sticking up for his teammate and Francona who got ejected

My info on Cleveland games is 99.9% watching highlights & Quick Pitch at night after Sharon goes to bed...I saw the initial call about knocking the hand off...didn't know the rest of the story...

well, you combine a depleted pitching staff w/your hottest hitter (naylor) getting injured and you get 8 losses in 10 games. williams was simply dynamite last night, showing his true potential as a top starter, giving up 1 hit and striking out 12 in 7 innings but the offense got just 1 hit in support, and the bullpen continued its slump. 3-1 loss to toronto, leaving the bases loaded in the bottom of the 9th. and like mickey said a week or two ago, the schedule does the guards no favors. 3 more vs the blue jays, then 3 at tampa and 2 at cincy. after 4 w/the tigers, you have 3 vs the dodgers, 3 at toronto, 3 at minnesota, then home for 3 more vs the rays, 3 vs the twins before 3 vs the angels and giants. so in the next 11 series, you have 10 opponents either leading their division or squarely in the playoff race. brutal. and a tall task for a young team that's scored just 24 runs in its last 10 games.
normally 5 1/2 games back the first week of august is not impossible by any stretch. but with that list of teams on the horizon, cleveland would need to basically take at least 5 of the 6 upcoming games vs the twins, and go 14-13 vs the rest of the next month in order to be in a position to win the division come the September stretch. I'm a pollyanna optimist, but that reality looks like too much.

Tito stated before that he was happy with what he has and ready to go with this group....The new GM Chernoff more likely made these moves without Titos approval or maybe he brought it to Titos attention and went with it anyway. The new players and the rookies have to excel to have a shot

Hate to rub it in...well actually, that's not true...but Rosario has 9 RBIs in 10 games as a Dodger and is hitting .286.

I've never seen such an idiotic explanation from mlb/ny. something about how the umpires called in on the field that forced them to reverse the call. absolutely ridiculous.

Dodgers are playing Rosario at second base. I'm not that familiar with him, but he seems like a solid, if unspectacular player on both O and D. I have no idea what the Gs saw in Syndergaard (probably the same thing the Dodgers thought they saw) but he was flat awful here. Maybe it clicks for him there and he can eat some innings for them.

omg. in the first 3 games of the series vs toronto, below are the stat lines for our starters;
7 innings, 1 hit, 0 runs, 12 k's, 7 innings, 6 hits, 0 runs, 6 k's 5 innings, 4 hits, 1 run, 3 k's.
that's an era of 0.47. 0.47!!!! yet the guardians won just 1 of those games, and have scored only 2 runs in the series, which they've doubled so far today, going up 2-1 into the 3rd.

Rocchio just got an rbi double...3-1 Guards nice win yesterday to get the series split. but going to need more than 6 runs every 4 games from here on out to make a final run. like what I see out of rocchio.
