Treon Harris is back in school and on the football team. Will Muschamp announced he will not play against LSU. This from Gator Country:
Written by Nick de la Torre, October 10, 2014
The University of Florida has lifted the interim suspension of freshman quarterback Treon Harris, the school announced shortly after Harris’ accuser withdrew her complaint against the freshman quarterback.
Early Monday morning, Harris was accused of sexually assaulting another student. The University acted swiftly, placing Harris on an interim suspension, prohibiting him from being on campus or attending class on campus — and he was indefinitely suspended by the UAA from all football activities as well. Harris was allowed to continue participating in his online courses.
Friday afternoon the accuser withdrew her complaint against Harris.
“The young lady who claimed Treon Harris sexually battered her has withdrawn her complaint,” Harris’ attorney Huntley Johnson told Gator Country. “I am pleased for Treon Harris and his family.” Harris took over for Jeff Driskel at the end of the third quarter against Tennessee a week ago and led two scoring drives that propelled the Gators to their tenth-straight win over the rival Vols. Harris was in line to earn more playing time this week, before the allegations surfaced on Monday afternoon.
Shortly after Johnson confirmed that Harris’ interim suspension was lifted, the UAA reinstated Harris, making him eligible to rejoin the football team and resume practicing and playing.
"We have been notified that the University and legal process is complete. Treon has been reinstated to the team, but he will not play Saturday," Muschamp said in a release. "This has been a learning experience for everyone involved. Treon has been honest with me throughout the process and is looking forward to rejoining his teammates."
The University of Florida made the correct decision in getting out in front of the situation by suspending Harris from playing football on Monday. With the withdrawn accusation, the University once again made the correct call in letting Treon Harris resume his normal day-to-day activities of attending class on campus and playing football.

Dandy Don predicts a 30-27 LSU win.
I'm sticking with 24-17 UF. LSU has more issues than UF to overcome.

My guess is the accuser quietly transfers out of UF. I doubt she is well thought of on campus. While the media couldn't print her name, you know she is well known in a negative way right now. Treon Harris' suspension has been lifted by UF - Jeff Barlis of ESPN confirmed with attorney Huntley Johnson that UF has lifted its suspension of Treon Harris: Nick de la Torre @nickdelatorregc RT @jeffbarlisespn: BREAKING: Treon Harris' attorney says his suspension by the university has been lifted. Huntley Johnson deserves applause for a job well done. Wherever she goes, she'll travel first class and live in luxury.

She tried to ruin the life of an innocent person. That shouldn't pass without consequences.

The girl made (or will make) a lot more money by "withdrawing her complaint" vs going to court and testifying so that the real truth would emerge. I am not saying Harris is guilty of anything, but with this payoff, we'll never know. Gotta love rich boosters!!!

She tried to ruin the life of an innocent person. That shouldn't pass without consequences. Be careful what you wish for. If they choose to prosecute her for filing a false report then the onus will be on the prosecution to prove that the report was really false. All she has said to date is that she has withdrawn the allegation for the time being. No idea what the truth is, but if it was me I'd much prefer to let sleeping dogs lay that open the door for a complete investigation of her accusation despite her not pressing charges.

And if she was indeed paid off by some mystery booster and has some proof of that payoff for insurance, then the Lizards will be in the deepest shit since Cheatin' Charlie Pell. You want to have that kind of punishment on your team again?

Looks like Driskel sure ate his Cheerios tonight! Lookin like he'll have plenty of time to eat Cheerios on the bench after that last interception he threw which kost them the game....Stick a fork in him.... If the TE catches the TD pass that hit him in his hands in the endzone, the game is over with a UF win. On the INT, that's on the coaching that called the play with an inadequate WR playing the slot. Latroy Pittman should never see the field again. He is manhandled every time he walks on the field. He wouldn't have been knocked out if he hadn't lowered his head to avoid the hit rather than concentrating on catching a pass that first hit him in his hands. It was a hard pass, but catchable by an adequate D1 WR. While Driskel is getting all of the fault by the uninformed thinkers, the loss last night was far from his fault alone. The WR corp and the coaching add to the tripod that led to the LSU loss. Yes, Driskel should be bumped down to 2 on the depth chart, but I don't know what Treon Harris will do better over a full game. The coaching and WR will be the same. It's too bad the WRs and the coaching can't be taken off the field too. Besides the dropped TD by the TE, where in hades was Kelvin Taylor when UF had a 1st and goal at the 2? Matt Jones couldn't do it, but there is nothing wrong that I know of with Taylor. With his size and running ability, he'd have found a way into the endzone. That's the coaching too. While on the coaching how does 10 players on the D get the right call and the one that allowed the 3rd and 25 completion not get the right call. Hell, they could have done a better job playing a prevent defense umbrella. That's on the coaching too. That was the first failed chance to close out the game as a UF win. The end of the season and a coaching change can't get here soon enough for me. I'd be angry and hurt, but I have too much disgust with the football program in its present state to feel either.

That drop in the end zone was awful. The announcers tried to claim it wasn't a good throw but it was in front of the receiver and the defender wasn't close enough to distract him. Should have been caught. The playcalling was bland and should be an embarrassment for an OC that was supposed to make Driskel a star. Defense played well except for a couple of plays. Driskel DID NOT lose this game.

Gee, how about a little praise for LSU hanging in there, overcoming their own problems, and EARNING the win? They still have lots of issues--- the most glaring of which is clock mismanagment in the red zone. If LSU hadn't given up the cheap TD on the punt return, it wouldn't have been so close. And a 50 yard FG is nothing to sneeze at, especially after the UF players tried to illegally sit on the LSU players and run the clock out. Thank goodness the refs were competent for a change. But even as competent as the refs were, LSU receivers were grabbed more often than a lone whore in a gold miners' camp.
The game is over, and both teams still have their issues. As far as Jeff Driskel goes, he looked very good last night. IMHO, Driskel is the least of UF's worries. He is tough, talented, and he is a leader. LSU definitely had the better running backs, and the Tigers' OL finally woke up just enough to block for them when it counted.

I'd offer congrats to LSU on the LSU board, but you don't post on the LSU board. I did offer congrats on the main page thread, but why do I think you already knew that? If Driskel hadn't fumbled giving the ball to LSU at the UF 28, LSU wouldn't have had a two play drive on a short field for a TD. See how easy this works Bryan? LSU at no point last night would have had an easy win. Besides, the last I looked, teams are made up of offense, defense, and special teams. Yes, your kicker made a 50 yarder to win the game. Congrats. Where is your praise of Debose on his punt returns? Les Miles said in his post game that he's glad Debose is a senior because he'd never kick the ball to him again as he has both kickoff and punt return TDs against LSU. It was poor reffing one way in pass defense. I witnessed a bunch of pass interference calls against UF, but only one against LSU. Miraculously for LSU, refs ruling overthrows on catchable balls, mugging receivers during their routes, and running up the back and tripping UF receivers on long pass plays are not grounds for pass interference. Insofar as RBs go, you didn't get see UF's best RB who couldn't make a go of it due to a sprained ankle. He would have made a difference. Bryan, LSU sucked as bad as UF last night. Don't come here and expect to find the better team won bullshit. That is not the case. LSU didn't do anything in an outstanding way last night.
