According to the news this morning. He was told that if he left Nashville he was gone, and he is. On a plus note . Harris looked good last night. Nice accuracy, and arm strength. Will Muschamp strikes again. Starting Leon Orr with him back to full health and with Gerald Willis still out with his high ankle sprain was a no brainer. As a redshirt senior who was the starter before having his knee scoped after the bama game, Orr thought he deserved better and he did. I'd have told Muschamp to shove it too. Bullard should have started at SDE. This will not help the Gator D the rest of the way. Harris did have a couple of passes deflected at the LOS so Darrell may have something about him being too short at 5'11". He seemed to do better when he rolled out left or right. He's good going both ways. However, the long passes to Fulwood and Dunbar were thrown from the pocket. Time and better opponents will tell the story. I must say I was pleasantly surprised to see Pat Dooley and Robbie Andreu be right with their predictions. With as many drops as Dunbar as had, when I saw the long ball going to him I was "Oh crap". He caught it though, barely. If he hadn't of tripped it would have been a score. He had a full step on the defender.

Gators DT Leon Orr’s bus gets lost on interstate; Muschamp confirms he’s off the team for good ChrisKirshner Chris Kirschner, FanBuzz Writer Posted on November 8, 2014 11:34 pm SHARE THIS STORY 580 Share 3 Tweet 0 0 Reddit 0 1 Stumble 0 Email Print Friendly Leon Orr Streeter Lecka/Getty Images It was a cold night for Gators defensive tackle Leon Orr. Not only did his Greyhound bus get lost on the interstate, but Florida head coach Will Muschamp announced that Orr’s playing days for the Gators is over. Before the game, coach Muschamp announced that Orr wouldn’t be playing because he complained about not starting. Orr didn’t take the news well, so he chose to take a bus home from Nashville instead of supporting his teammates. After the game, this is what Muschamp had to say about Orr: Orr, a fifth-year senior, has ended his college career after making one of the biggest bone-headed decisions one can make. Leon Orr has been removed from the depth chart. I doubt we hear anything other than a confirmation that Orr quit before Vandy and has been expelled from the team.
Someone posting on Gator Country continues to say they have a good Gainesville connection that says Will Muschamp must have a regular season win out to keep his job. It doesn't look like Foley's rumored win out or else ultimatum has been changed.

Will Muschamp Notebook:
Written by Ryan Randall, November 10, 2014
Florida Gators head coach Will Muschamp met with the media for his weekly press conference Monday. The Gators are on a two game winning streak and have the chance to keep their SEC East push with a win over South Carolina.
The Gators had 429 total yards, nearly an even split between the run and pass (214 to 215, respectively). The defense also forced four turnovers and four three-and-outs.
Florida’s offense has another opportunity to have another big day this Saturday. South Carolina is last in the SEC in total defense, allowing 460.6 yards per game and 36 touchdowns this season.
Here is more of what Muschamp had to say:
Injuries:
“Keanu Neal hoping to get him out there maybe Wednesday looks to be doubtful at this time. Trenton Brown, not ruling him out at all, hopefully Wednesday to get him back on the field. Tyler Moore had an ankle, he should be fine. Chaz Green had a sprained knee, he should be fine. Jeremi Powell sprained his knee that he had surgery on, he may be doubtful for this game as far as being a special teams contributor for us. And Gerald Willis we will try to get out and move around today. But I expect him to play this Saturday.”
If anything has changed with Leon Orr:
“No, nothing’s changed.”
The importance of practices of to freshmen and the edge it gives to returning players:
“You’re able to go out there and get another probably 12 to 14 practices in before a bowl game depending on when it is. But you look at Loucheiz Purifoy our first year, he started the Gator Bowl. He didn’t start a game all season but he came out and had a great bowl practice. He was a true freshman. He had more time. When you’re in a bowl situation kind of like training camp and spring ball, you’re not getting ready for a game and you’re not game planning. You’re teaching the defense, you’re teaching the offense, you’re teaching the techniques and the fundamentals that go with the position at a very slow pace as opposed to when you’re getting ready for a game, you’re still teaching fundamentals and techniques but you’re also trying to recognize sets. And there’s a lot more going on mentally and so there’s no question I’ve seen guys take huge steps forward on the football field in a bowl situation. No doubt.”
On how wide receiver Quinton Dunbar handled being benched:
“He dealt with it very well. We weren’t getting the production we needed and Ahmad had been a guy that had done a nice job getting those opportunities. Ahmad should be fine Saturday, had a little turf toe in the game on the deep ball down their sideline and Quinton went in and did a good job. So you go in and cash in on your opportunities when you have it. Man down, man up and that’s what he did. So I’m very proud of how he handled the situation.”
What going for it on fourth down can do for the players on offense:
“I just feel like that as a defensive coordinator, when you call a game aggressively, sometimes your players play more aggressive. They feel a little more cutting it loose and our guys feel like that offensively from a standpoint that they know we’re going to go for it in those situations. And I talk to them about those situations all the time. To me, it’s always important for the players to understand why we’re doing it. If we get into the situation we’re in that range where we’re outside of field goal range, maybe the 38-yard line, it’s 4th and 1, go for it in those situations.”
If the offense is in position to provide a balance:
“I think so. I think we’re getting there. We’ve got to continue to run it well to develop things in the passing game. You know, whenever you put it on tape, it’s not just to throw it deep, but complete it deep. As a defensive coach, now you’re saying ‘OK. These guys are willing to do what they need to do.’ There was no question Vanderbilt was bound and determined to make us throw the football, and we saw that early in the game. We knew we were going to have some opportunities to take some shots.”

UF's road to the SECCG is highly unlikely:
Mizzou (4-1): 11/15 at aTm; 11/22 at UT; 11/28 (FRI) ARK
UGALY (5-2): 11/15 AU
UF (4-3): 11/15 USC
1. Mizzou must lose 2 of 3 with one of the losses being at UT to finish 5-3 OR lose out to finish 4-4 - If Mizzou wins 2, UF is eliminated
2. UGALY must lose at home to Auburn to finish 5-3 - If UGALY beats AU, UF is eliminated
3. UF must beat USC to finish 5-3 - If USC beats UF, UF is eliminated
In the above scenarios, UF would own the tiebreakers over Mizzou and UGALY:
In a 3 way tie with one of Mizzou's losses being at UT, UF would win the tiebreaker. The 5-3 SEC records would first go to head to head where the tie remains due to the round robin losses by the tied teams. The second tiebreaker which is best division record would give the ticket to ATL to UF as both Mizzou and UGALY would have 2 division losses while UF would only have 1 division loss.
In a 2 way tie with UGALY should Mizzou lose out, UF would win the head to head over UGALY.
Bottom line, root for UF to beat USC, AU to beat UGALY, and Mizzou to end the season with at least a 2 game losing streak.

Another Big Game For Muschamp - The USC Game Is Taking On The Proportions That The UGA Game Brought With It. A Loss And Will Muschamp Goes From The Frying Pan Into The Fire. This From Robbie Andreu:
Robbies Playbook Huge game for ’Champ, Gators Friday, November 14, 2014 at 11:02 by Robbie Andreu The last time Will Muschamp walked off the field in The Swamp, many were wondering if he’d ever have the chance to coach here again. After the humiliating homecoming loss to Missouri, there was a great deal of speculation that UF Athletics Director Jeremy Foley might go ahead and pull the plug on the Muschamp era the following day.
But Foley stuck with Muschamp, giving him the chance to try and turn things around in the second half of the season.
Well, a month after that devastating loss to Missouri, Muschamp returns to The Swamp with a chance to secure his job at UF. A change at quarterback, an open date and a big upset win over Georgia have changed everything for Muschamp and the Gators.
If they beat South Carolina to move to 6-3 on the season, Muschamp likely will have a chance to continue his UF career beyond this season. Of course, if the Gators fall again at home (for the third time in a row this season), Muschamp will be right back on the hot seat and many will be calling for him to be fired.
So, this is a big, big game in The Swamp.
UF and USC seem headed in different directions. The Gamecocks have lost four SEC games in a row and are struggling to become bowl eligible. The Gators have won two in a row and are playing with great confidence behind new starting quarterback Treon Harris, who has provided the spark UF was searching for to turn things around.
Steve Spurrier’s offense is very potent and will cause some problems for a Florida secondary without starting safety Keanu Neal. But USC’s defense has been awful and unable to hold leads. In a game like this, I think you go with the team with the best defense, and that would be Florida in a big way.
The Swamp should be rocking again Saturday. And the Gators are going to feed off the emotion and the great confidence they come into the game with.
A month ago, things looked dire for Muschamp and this team as they left The Swamp. On Saturday, they will have a chance to celebrate on their field.
Prediction: Florida 31, South Carolina 28.
That's the kind of game I'm expecting. SOS has had two weeks to prepare for UF and to stew over the UT debacle at home. It wouldn't surprise me if either team won. I don't think UF can score enough to cover the UF -7 spread.

Neither Pat nor Robbie have UF covering the -7 UF spread, but both are predicting a close UF win.
Pat Dooley's Prediction:
SOUTH CAROLINA AT FLORIDA: One thing we know for sure — don’t leave if Florida is down 14 in the fourth quarter. The Gamies have made a habit of snatching defeat from the jaws of victory. Still, I don't think that’s a game plan to win this game. Florida needs to do what it has done the last two weeks. More importantly, what it hasn’t done — turn it over. Florida, 30-24.

Wow! Thought it was over and UF had won so we switched it off. About an hour or so later my son comes over and starts talking about UF losing in OT. I guess you never take anything for granted.

The Will Muschamp era is over. It's when, not if.
Florida had better pull the Brinks truck up and get a great coach this time. Zooker I and Zooker II didn't work out.

It Is Done:
By Pat Dooley Staff writer
Published: Sunday, November 16, 2014 at 11:33 a.m.
Last Modified: Sunday, November 16, 2014 at 11:53 a.m.
Will Muschamp is stepping down as the Florida football coach after this season, The Sun has confirmed.
The decision was first reported by SI.com.
Muschamp's current Florida team (5-4, 4-4 SEC) was eliminated from the SEC East race on Saturday by South Carolina in overtime.
Muschamp was 27-20 in his almost four seasons as Gators coach, including 17-15 in the SEC. His Gators team lost six of their last eight home games, including three in a row.
The last defeat at Florida Field came Saturday at the hands of Florida legend Steve Spurrier after the Gators appeared to have the game in hand with less than 3:40 left only to lose 23-20 in overtime.
Florida closes the regular season with a home game against Eastern Kentucky (9-2) on Saturday and at No. 2 Florida State (10-0) on Nov. 29.
Florida will not hold a news conference today to make the official announcement, a source said.
